Mrs. Trisha Joyce McGhee

Trisha Joyce Wilson-McGhee, a woman of boundless energy, unwavering faith, and a heart as big as her smile, transitioned to her heavenly home on January 13, 2026. Born on October 15, 1965, to the late L.D. Wilson and Bessie Irene Wilson-Taylor in Talladega County, Alabama, Trisha was affectionately reared by Nathaniel and Bessie Taylor. Trisha's life was rooted in her deep-seated faith. Having accepted Christ at an early age, she was a steadfast and dedicated member of Corinth Missionary Baptist Church. As a graceful Deaconess, diligent Secretary, and spirited Choir President, she served her congregation with a joyful noise and a servant's heart. A proud product of the Talladega County School System and a member of the Winterboro High School Class of 1984, Trisha was a lifelong learner. After attending Gadsden State and Central Alabama Community College, she became an honors graduate of Talladega College, earning her Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Organizational Management. While she held many professional roles, she was most cherished as the "family's secretary" the organized, "go-to" person who kept everyone's lives in order with love and precision. Trisha was a fierce and passionate advocate for the Winterboro community. Whether she was volunteering for Winterboro Youth Athletics or cheering on the Winterboro High School teams, she was a constant presence in the stands and in the lives of local youth. Her commitment to her hometown was unmatched, and her influence will be felt for generations. For 38 beautiful years, Trisha walked hand-in-hand with her soulmate and devoted husband, Mr. Willie Terry McGhee. Together, they built a home filled with laughter and love. She was the nurturing and fun-loving mother to Tiara Jaunett, the late Terica JaMegan, and TeKenya JaMia McGhee. Her greatest joy in recent years was her role as a doting grandmother to her beloved "Suga," McKenli Danielle McGhee. Trisha was the vibrant pulse of her family. A traveler and an avid sports fan, she had a unique gift for making every moment special, from her thoughtful greeting cards to her expertly planned family gatherings. Trisha's memory will be cherished by her husband, Willie Terry McGhee; her daughters, Tiara and TeKenya; and her granddaughter, McKenli. She is survived by her siblings: Wanda Gail Merritt, Frederick Wilson, Paula Wilson, Lenward (Letinna) Wilson, and Chelsea (Perry) Hill; father-in-law, Willie Charles McGhee; along with a host of beloved, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws, and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, L.D. Wilson, and Nathaniel and Bessie Wilson-Taylor; her daughter, Terica JaMegan McGhee; and her mother-in-law, Ruthie Mae McGhee. Trisha's journey was a blessing to everyone she encountered. She was a light in the lives of many, and her legacy of love and service will never be forgotten.
