Tamarcus Bryant

On April 3, 1989, in Talladega, Alabama, a joyful baby boy, Tamarcus Bryant, was born to the parentage of Alan Bryant and Hilda Bryant. Affectionately known as "Drae," he grew to radiate joy, kindness, and warmth throughout his 36 years of life. Drae found comfort and spiritual grounding at Mountain Home Baptist Church, where he accepted Christ at an early age and worshiped alongside family and friends. His strong faith was reflected in his compassionate heart and unwavering spirit. Education played an important role in Drae's life. He proudly completed his studies in the Talladega County School System, graduating from B.B. Comer High School. He later attended Central Alabama Community College and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he pursued studies in Dentistry-demonstrating his dedication to personal growth and advancement. Throughout his life, Drae worked various jobs and built lasting relationships with those around him. To know Drae was to love him. He possessed a remarkable gift for connecting with people. His infectious laughter, warm hugs, and radiant smile brought comfort and joy to everyone fortunate enough to know him. Above all, Drae was a devoted father, brother, and friend. He loved his son Qadir Cain Bryant and daughter Qayia Cain Bryant unconditionally and served as a constant source of love, guidance, and support in their lives. Drae's 35-year journey on earth was truly a blessing to his family and friends. His legacy of love, compassion, and laughter will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. On Saturday afternoon, March 7, 2026, Tamarcus Bryant peacefully transitioned from this earthly life to his eternal home while surrounded by loved ones at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center in Talladega. As he entered the pearly gates, he was welcomed by those who preceded him in death: his grandmothers, Charlie Mae Bryant and Mary Williams; great-grandmothers, Barbara Bryant and Luvenia T. Williams; great-great-grandmother, Lizzie Bryant; Eddie Player (Marie), Grand Father, aunt, Judy Williams; uncles, Ronald Williams, Roy Bryant, Greg Bryant, and Buford Bryant, along with many other beloved relatives. Drae's legacy of love and cherished memories will forever be remembered by his loving parents, Hilda Bryant and Rev. Alan L. (Robin) Bryant; his beloved son Qadir Cain Bryant and daughter Qayia Cain Bryant, two sisters, Latishia (Thomas) Rowell. Lindsey (Dedrick) Walker one brother, Chris Douglas-Fletcher, Sr. , two nieces Savannah Rowell and Kailey Odum, one nephew Jordyn Odum, God Parents Lawerence & Jennie McGhee, thirteen uncles, Lawrence (Jessica) Williams, Larry Bryant, Stanley (Lois) Bryant, Eric Player, Dwane (Arricka) Player, Calvester Lane, Paul Terrell, Brian (Linda) Miller, Albert Curry, Lord Wilson, John (Nicole) McClurkin, Tora (Paula) Scott, and Luke Swain; and eighteen aunts, Karen Parker, Stefanie Player (Caregiver), Janet Walker, Felecia (Glenn) Miller, Mary (Randy) Whitson, Ulander (Rodney) Borden, Margaret (Martin) Curry, Lisa (Willie) Dickerson Cass, Angela Dickerson, Wanda Faye Dickerson, Iris (Billy) Bedford, Lataya Hill, Henrietta Meadows, Abena Taylor, Dorothy Johnson, Linda Bryant, and Sylvia Bryant, Jackie Bryant. He is also survived by his great-aunt Louise Jones Williams; aunts Josephine McKinney, Joyce Williams, Betty Lou Welch, Sarah Williams, Arie Williams, and Naomi Ragland; great-uncle Charlie (Annie) Miller; special friends Qwanisha Cain, Kelly Hart and Kenya Spence; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends. As we bid farewell to our beloved Drae, let us remember him with joy and gratitude for the love he shared with us all. May his soul rest in eternal peace, knowing he was deeply cherished and will be greatly missed.
