Stanley Eugene Nobles

Born on August 11, 1951, in Pell City, Alabama, Stanley Eugene Nobles he was the cherished son of Edward Nobles and Clementine Thomas Nobles. Stanley's journey through life was marked by steadfast faith, love for family, and a commitment to his work. At a young age, Stanley embraced his Christian faith, becoming a member of Jacobs Chapel C.M.E. Church in Pell City. Throughout his life, he nurtured this faith, later becoming an esteemed member St. Paul A.M. E. Zion Church in Great Neck, New York where he worked faithfully until he heard the voice of God and became a member of South Hempstead Baptist Church. He was ordained as a deacon, served as the chairman, and was an advisor over several other auxiliaries. Upon returning home to Pell City, Alabama, Stanley joined Rocky Zion Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. William Robinson. Stanley's spiritual foundation served as a guiding light for his family, who thrived in the warmth of his devotion. Stanley was an intelligent and industrious individual, having received his education in the St. Clair County School System. He graduated from St. Clair County Training School and relocated to New York to embark on a fulfilling career as a transporter in the automotive industry. Stanley was also employed with Action Roofing in Great Neck, New York and Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York. After more than 20 years of hard work and dedication, he retired, allowing himself to relish the rewards of his labor. It was during his life's journey that Stanley went on a blind date and found his true love, the former Ms. Catherine Collie. Together, after a nine-month engagement, they were united in Holy Matrimony, creating a beautiful life forming a forty-five-year union filled with joy and the blessing of raising three wonderful children. Family was of utmost importance to Stanley; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, instilling in them the values of love, faith, and togetherness. At the age of 73, Stanley Eugene Nobles, peacefully departed this life on January 17, 2025, while in the care of UAB St. Vincent's - St. Clair with his beloved family at his side. Once entering those pearly gates, he was reunited in eternal rest with his loving parents, Edward and Clementine Nobles, brothers, Michael Nobles and Ronald Carl Nobles, and sister, Sonya Nobles. Although he has departed from our sight, his spirit, and the memories he created remain indelibly etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him. Stanley leaves behind a loving legacy that will be fondly remembered by his loving and devoted wife, Catherine Nobles; two sons, Stanley E. (Cynthia) Nobles, II and Anthony Nobles, both residing in Long Island, New York; one daughter, Denise Nobles-Wilson of Franklin Park, New Jersey; two beloved grandchildren, Corey Nobles and Tyler Nobles; four great-grandchildren, Emery, Adonis, Amirah, and Genesis; five bonus great-grandchildren; four bonus grandchildren, Chavez, Stephen, Devohne, and Marchaniys; four Godchildren, Darryl, Shenisha, Jada, and Ayreonna; five sisters, Mary Wilson, Lavonia (James) White, Rhonda Nobles, Tonya Phillips, and Charon Franklin, all of Michigan; two brothers, Steve (Lisette) Thomas and Jeffrey (Brenda) Thomas, both of Michigan; two sisters-in-law, Theresa (Johnnie) Owens and Edith Collie of Pickensville, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Curley (Ruby) Collie of Pickensville; five aunts, Sarah Elston and Rosie Fluellen of Pell City, Alabama, Hazel Bender and Rev. Jere Nobles of Michigan, and Brenda Fomby of Lincoln; two uncles, Billy Ray Thomas of Gadsden, Alabama and William Thomas of Massachusetts; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. In this time of sorrow, let us gather to reflect upon the beautiful life of Stanley Eugene Nobles-a life that was rich in love, faith, and cherished memories. While he may no longer walk among us, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire those he left behind.
