Shantia Lee

Shantia Prentay Lee was born on February 4, 1999 to the union of Roderick Dewayne Lee and Felicia Ann Swain Lee in Talladega, Alabama. During Shantia's adolescent years, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Destiny Mission under the leadership of Prophet Darrell Keith where she served faithfully on the youth praise team. She received her education in the Talladega County School System and was a graduate 2017 of Talladega County Central High School. An athlete at heart would be the definition of Shantia due to her love for sports. She was a member of the school's basketball, softball, and volleyball team; but cheerleading was her thing during football season. Shantia worked various jobs after completing high school, but at the time of her death, she was employed with Amazon in Newman, Georgia. Education was very important to Shantia which is why she had recently enrolled in college to continue improving her life and career. She was a very outgoing person who loved to enjoy life and have a good time. For all those who knew Shantia, you know she was the life of the party and she accepted everything life had to offer her and made the best of it. She was living her best life so full of energy and very enthusiastic with a heart of gold and a personality that was so contagious, you could not help but to love her. Her infectious smile would light up the darkest room and brighten your dullest moment. While surrounded by loved ones on Saturday afternoon, November 5, 2022, at the young age of 23, Shantia Prentay Lee received a call from her Master while in the care of Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, Alabama. Once Shantia accepted her Master's call, she gained her heavenly wings and transitioned to her eternal resting place where she was welcomed home by her father, Roderick Lee and sister Dasia Kiundra Swain. Leaving behind to cherish all her love and precious memories are: her loving and devoted mother, Felicia Lee; two brothers, Kendarius Markez (LaShanta Calhoun) Swain of Alpine, AL and Rodericious Lee of Talladega, AL; four sisters, Destanie Capri Swain of Gainsville, GA, Caitlin Harkin of Childersburg, AL, Parrish Lee of Pensacola, FL, and MaKaya Patterson of Childersburg, AL; grandparents, Floyd Fomby of Sylacauga, AL, Mary Swain of Alpine, AL, Jannie (Robert) Shephard of Alpine, AL, and Robert (Shirley) Jordan of Talladega, AL; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Shantia will be missed immensely by all the lives she has touched. She has definitely left an impression that will last a lifetime in the hearts of all. WE LOVE YOU SHANTIA!!!!! I now say to ALL my family and friends: I'd like the memory of me to be a happy one I'd like to leave an afterglow of smiles when life is done I'd like to leave an echo whispering softly down the ways Of happy times and laughing times and bright and sunny days I'd like the tears of those who grieve, to dry before the sun Of happy memories that I leave when life is done.
