Ola Patrisha Scott-Little

The beautiful and beloved Ola Patrisha Scott-Little made her grand entrance into this world on October 14, 1970, in Talladega, Alabama the fourth of five children born to the union of Willie Dean Scott, Sr. and Ola Scott-Curry Ola's exemplary education journey began in the Talladega City School System and culminated with her achieving a Bachelor's from Talladega College in 1993 and a Master's degree in Social Work from Clark-Atlanta University in 1996. Her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of others led her to a fulfilling career as a Social Worker with the Baldwin County School System as their only Social Worker for more than 24 years. She was labeled as a huge beckon of light in the school district, and she would go above and beyond measures to make sure no child fell through the cracks. Being a Social Worker was not just a job to her, it was her heart and her passion. She treated the children with dignity and respect and so much compassion. Through her unwavering dedication, she touched the hearts of many students and colleagues alike, making a huge impact on many lives and becoming a cherished member of her community. Ola was also a lifelong active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. An inspiring woman of faith, Ola's spiritual journey was deeply rooted in her devotion to God. She held dear her time spent at Apostolic Faith Church in her early years and later found solace in the warm embrace of Victory Tabernacle Deliverance Temple in Orangeburg South Carolina. Ola served with unwavering commitment in various capacities, including the Women's Department, the Choir, and the MCB Usher Board, embodying the essence of a true servant of God. Ola relocated to Milledgeville, Georgia where she became a faithful member and monetary participant for over 15 years of Discipleship Christian Church. She remained a very loyal and devoted member who could always be relied upon where she was needed. Ola's infectious laughter, kindhearted nature, and vibrant energy brought joy to the lives of those around her. She appreciated quality time spent with family and playing "Pic and Pay" a family game she created and cherished every moment of fun and laughter. Her passion for roller skating was unmatched, and she could often be found gliding effortlessly on the rink with her sister, cousins, and friends. Additionally, Ola had a love for swimming, which she enthusiastically shared with her loved ones during her travels. Fondly known as "Trisha," Ola's radiant smile will forever be remembered as a testament to the love she bestowed upon all those she encountered. Ola's love story began when she found her soulmate, Kelvin Little, with whom she shared a profound connection. Their union brought forth the blessing of a beautiful daughter, Isis, whom they loved unconditionally. The bond Ola created with her family was unbreakable, and her untimely passing leaves behind a void that can never be filled. On Saturday, January 6, 2024, Ola Patrisha Scott-Little, a compassionate and dedicated social worker, mother, sister, and friend peacefully received her heavenly wings while in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving and devoted family as God whispered and said "Well done my good and faithful servant! You were faithful over a few things; I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your Lord" Once accepting her Master's call, Ola was reunited with her beloved husband, Kelvin Little, parents, Willie Dean Scott Sr. and Dr. Ola Scott-Curry. Mrs. Ola Patrisha Scott-Little will be forever missed and fondly remembered by her adoring daughter, Isis Little; her devoted sister, Yteria (Donald) Richardson; her caring brothers, Willie Dean Scott, Jr., Paul (TaWanda) Scott, and Derek (Nicole) Scott; two sisters, LaDeandra Scott and Tatiana Scott; aunts, Daisy Carroll, Linda Roberson, Annette Roberson, Harriet Hart, Lillian Jean Clyburne, Frannie Scott, and Vanessa Scott; six uncles, Charles E. Scott, Robert (Wanda) Robinson, Jr., Ben (Lillian) Roberson, Tyrone (Shirley) Roberson, Billy Joe Roberson, and Rickey (Tammy) Roberson; special friends: Luethel and Marvin Smith and Natalie and Anthony Fields; and a host of loving and caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and countless friends whose lives she positively impacted. As we bid farewell to a truly compassionate and remarkable woman, let us remember how Ola's love, laughter, and unwavering faith enriched our lives. May her soul rest in eternal peace, knowing that she made a lasting impact on all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
