Millie Glover

On July 5, 1950 in Lincoln, Alabama, a beautiful and sweet bubbly baby girl named Millie Glover was born to the parentage of Houston "Bubba" Green and Ollie Wee Cunningham Robinson. Millie received her formal education in the Talladega County School System and later received her associate's degree in early childhood education. She worked many years as in the education industry, but later decided to start a career in the restaurant industry as a chef and sometimes you could find her mixing some of you favorites drinks as a mixologist. After years of employment, she made the decision to retire to better enjoy the fruits of her labor and to make enjoying life a priority. Especially with her beautiful yard and making sure it was well groomed along with her lovely flowers having the most beautiful blossoms. Affectionately known and labeled as " The Seal on the Stamp" by her late son "1000" and all her family , friends, and community, Ms. Millie enjoyed loving on her family and traveling. She enjoyed entertaining her family and friends, but if you turned on a little music, Ms. Millie would show you a few steps. Because of her beautiful smile and contagious personality, Ms. Millie was so easy to love, but also had no problem getting her point across. She said what she meant and meant what she said, yet she was a fun-loving and kind-hearted mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt that was cherished immensely by her family and all who knew and loved her. The lovely Ms. Millie Glover gained her heavenly wings and peacefully accepted her Master's call Tuesday morning, July 23, 2024 at the age of 74, while under the care of Brookwood Citizen's Baptist Medical Center in Talladega, Alabama. Ms. Millie was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey "1000", parents, Houston Green and Ollie Robinson, brothers, Milton Jay Nixon, Albert "I-20" Nixon, and Fred Fomby, and sisters, Delores Nixon, and Clara Embry. Ms. Millie's legacy of love and her sweet spirit will live on and forever be cherished and remembered by her loving and devoted daughter, Tonya Glover; her son, Dexter Lamar Glover; three grandchildren, Donte Garris, Marcus Bettes, and Kevia Love Garris.; seven great-grandchildren, Makiyah Garris, Aniya Dickens, Tylah Howard, Milan Dickens, Adra Garris, Kion Garris, and Winter Bettes; four sisters, Bonnie Goggins, Connie Knox, Donnie Davis, and Bernell Fomby; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
