Lyvonne Woods

Mrs. Lyvonne Woods began her earthly journey on May 9, 1939, in Anniston, Alabama. She was the beloved daughter of Lester and Leslie Satcher who both preceded her in death. Mrs. Woods professed her faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior early in life. Mrs. Woods' faith in the Lord was like the roots of a tree, deeply rooted. Her spiritual journey began at the Church of God in Christ. She later united with AFM Church of God, Straight Gate Church of God, Joy Head Quarters where she was honored as the Mother of the Church, House of Prayer, and The Bridge Christian Center where she was a faithful member until her health began to decline. She received her education in the Anniston City School System and graduated from Cobb High School. Along life's journey, Mrs. Woods met her soulmate, Mr. David Leon Woods. On November 29, 1963, Lyvonne and David was united in Holy Matrimony. Their bond remained unbreakable until the Lord called David home. They were blessed to share their love with six wonderful children. Mrs. Woods knew her way around the kitchen and enjoyed preparing delicious meals for her family and friends. She was a feisty but loving and caring person who would help anybody. She was a true servant of God. On Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Mrs. Woods, a devoted mother, completed her earthly journey while surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her husband, David Leon Woods; daughters, Carolyn Bitten and Mary Woods; grandchildren, Jessica Bitten and Andra Hunt; parents, Lester and Leslie Satcher; and siblings, Dolly Reynolds, Arlene Wright, Irene Duckett, Maee Emma Russell, Helen Turner, Raymond Satcher, and Lemule Satcher. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Stanley (Gertrude) Woods, Sr., David (Michele) Woods, and Nathan (Tamara) Woods; daughter, Janice (Mark) Wynn; Grandchildren, Tralaina (Andre) Jones, Stanley (Audra) Woods, Jr., Monquita (Marcus) King, Nathan English, Martino (Keana) Wynn, Isaiah Woods, Danashia Woods, Jymia Woods, Michael McGraw, and Monique (Roland) Pearson; and a host of great-grandchildren, other family members, and friends. Her legacy of love and compassion will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
