Leslie Williamson

" We never lose the ones we love, for, even though they are gone within the hearts of those who care, their memory lingers on" Mrs. Leslie Ann (McCain) Williamson was born on November 15, 1960 to the late Mr. Osie McCain, Sr. and Leona (Oden) McCain in Pell city, Alabama. At a very young age she confessed Christ and was a member of Jacobs Chapel Methodist Episcopal Church, where she later moved her membership to First Baptist Church of Riverside under the leadership of Reverend Billy Bedford, Jr. where she was a faithful member and remained faithful until the Lord called her Home. Leslie attended Pell City High School in Pell City Alabama and was a member of the class of 1980. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Minister Willie E. Williamson, Sr. They were united in holy matrimony in 1989 and from this union three children were born, who are the joy of her life. While growing up, Leslie earned the nickname "Hook" because of her love of playing basketball. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being the L.A. Lakers and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Leslie enjoyed being a mother and raising her children and grandchildren she enjoyed taking walks, talking with her children and family in person and on the phone. Leslie had a great sense of humor, and she never met a stranger. She had a beautiful smile, kind heart, and gentle spirit; but more than anything else Leslie loved her husband, children, grandchildren, family, and friends. Leslie gave up this earthly home on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Encompass Health Lakeshore Rehabilitation Hospital Homewood Alabama when she made the transition to spend eternity with her heavenly father and all her loved ones who proceeded in death including her parents, sisters, brothers, mother and father-in-law, brother-in-law's, sisters-in-laws. Memories of Leslie will be forever cherished by her devoted husband, Minister Willie E. Williamson Sr., three loving children, Marshall (Maria) Williamson of Pell City, Alabama, Willie E. Williamson Jr. of Lewisville, Texas, and Vanessa D. Williamson of Odenville, Alabama; her beloved and cherished granddaughter, Jasmine A. Williamson of Riverside, Alabama; siblings, Ernestine Mixon, Ocie McCain, and George McCain of Pell City, Alabama, Mary Hill of Birmingham, Alabama, Mary Ruth McCain of Bronx, New York, and Wanda (Nathan) Wade of Riverside, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
