Juana Elaine Mclain

Juana Elaine Mclain, a loving and nurturing soul, began her earthly journey on January 13, 1964, in Talladega, Alabama to the parentage of Mr. T. Madden and Odessa Cunningham Chandler. She accepted Christ at an early age and eventually united with New Life Apostolic Center, where she remained a member until her death. Juana, commonly called by her middle name, Elaine, was a beacon of joy and kindness to all who knew her. Known for her infectious smile and warmth, Elaine had the incredible ability to make others feel cherished. Whether she was helping friends or feeding anyone in need, her generosity knew no bounds. Nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her beloved grandchildren and her great-grandchild who were the apple of her eye and a constant source of inspiration in her life. She loved flowers, often tending to them so that they bloomed as beautifully as her spirit - colorful, bright, and full of life. On Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Elaine completed her earthly journey and transitioned from labor to rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dexter Mclain; parents, T. Madden and Odessa Chandler; son, Anthony R. Chandler; grandson, TJ Taylor; and siblings, Helen Chandler, Willie L. Chandler, Ralph Chandler, and John Chandler. Elaine's loving memories will forever be cherished by her daughters, Tikela (Ralph) Chandler, Tierre (Immanual) Singleton, Brittany (Lanoris) Chandler, and Shantell Porter; sons, Branton Henderson and Raynard Kemp; grandchildren, Ke'Shundra, Ti'Shawn, Madison, Omarion, Immanual II, I'mmarieen, Kennadi, Lanoris II, Anthony II, Tamyra, and Kareem; great-grandchild, KeShun; sisters, Linda (Willie) Welch, Mary Sampler, Carolyn Chandler, and Cynthia Fomby; brothers, Willie R. Chandler and Clyde (Gaynetta) Chandler; special nephews, Aundrelle Chandler and Glenn Chandler; special companion, James Brooks; a host of other relatives and friends. As we reflect on Juana's life, let us hold dear the memories of her laughter, her generous heart, and her endless love for her family. In the warmth of her spirit, may we find comfort and strength as we honor her memory together.
