Johnny Turner, Jr. was born on April 23, 2003, in Anniston, Alabama, to parents Johnnie Turner, Sr. and Wakeitha Cottingham Alston. Johnny's faith was an integral part of his life. At the age of 11, he found solace and guidance in the arms of Christ, accepting Jesus as his savior at True Vine Baptist Church. His devotion to his faith served as a guiding light in his everyday interactions, as he consistently demonstrated love, generosity, and forgiveness towards others. Johnny was a young man full of passion and potential. He was a student, pursuing his education and building a bright future. Though he hadn't yet obtained his degree, he had already earned college credits, showcasing his dedication and commitment to learning. Johnny exuded talent and pursued various interests throughout his life. Football and track were among his favorite sports, where he showcased his athleticism and determination. He found solace in the world of gaming, exploring different virtual realities and immersing himself in thrilling adventures. Art was also a significant aspect of Johnny's life, allowing him to express his unique creative vision. On October 26, 2023, while residing in San Antonio, Texas, at the tender age of 20, Johnny Turner, Jr. traded his earthly journey for eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Wanda Deramus, Henry Mae Turner, and John Chambers. Johnny leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his loving parents, Wakeitha (Maurice) Alston and Johnnie (Norene) Turner, Sr.; siblings, Jennifer Henton, Jessica Henton, Daniel Alston, Caiden Alston, Caleb Alston, Alicia Turner, Shannon Turner, Silas Turner, Alyssa Turner, and Alena Turner; grandfather, Willie Cottingham; niece, Kenanjah Brown; and a host of aunt, uncles, other relatives, and friends. His presence and infectious laughter will forever be etched in their hearts, reminding them of the joy he brought to their lives. The love shared within this family will sustain them during this difficult time and in the years to come. While we mourn Johnny's untimely departure, we are reminded to celebrate his life and the impact he had on all those who had the privilege of knowing him. His contagious spirit and zest for life will never be forgotten. Johnny Turner Jr. will forever remain in our hearts, a shining light that touched many lives and left a lasting impression. May he find eternal peace and happiness in the embrace of heaven.
