Gary Miller

Gary Lanard Miller, a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, was born on November 17, 1969, in Anniston, Alabama, to the late William H. Miller and Gaynell Smith Miller. Having lost his parents at a young age, Gary and his siblings triumphed over many trials and tribulations together resulting in a tight family bond that was sealed with love. Being raised in a God-fearing family, Gary gave his life to the Lord at an early age. After giving his life to Christ, Gary's determination and uplifting spirit blossomed allowing him to become a beacon of strength and resilience rooted in positivity and faith in overcoming obstacles in a true fashion. As an entrepreneur, Gary's professional journey began in Urbana, Ohio where he founded Gary's Rainbow Carwash at 24 years of age. As a Master Detail Technician, his meticulous attention to detail and dedication to his craft quickly made him an expert in his field. His love for his business allowed him to become a beloved figure within his community forming lasting connections with countless individuals who considered him family. He later brought his entrepreneurial spirit to Georgia where he founded MGM, a mobile detailing business based in DeKalb County, GA. While he was extremely dedicated to his craft, MGM was not only his business, but his way of ministering to each client he served. Beyond his professional achievements, Gary's bliss came from his love for the Lord and the company of his family and friends. He treasured the moments spent together, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. He was a source of support, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer inspirational words of encouragement or a humorous rhyme when needed. Gary's presence could light up any room, and his infectious laughter brought comfort and happiness to those fortunate enough to have known him. Above all else, Gary's faith in God was the driving force behind his actions and the source of his true joy. His commitment to serving the Lord inspired everyone who was fortunate enough to have interacted with him. Because he was a true soldier for the Lord, he was given the name "Prayer Warrior." It was effortless for him to share the fact that he may not have had a diploma, but he did have a GED as well as a P.H.D., which meant he could "Pray Heaven Down". Gary always had a word from the Lord. He had endless one-liners that combined his humor with his passion for his faith. To name a few: "You can't have a Testimony if you don't pass the Test." "Have you some beans and rice and Jesus Christ." "Coffee and toast and the Holy Ghost because They Both Fill You Up, now how are you doing?" He would share as a reminder to be dedicated to the Lord in even the most routine daily tasks especially when traveling. Gary "BuBu" Miller was peacefully called home on November 27, 2023, in Atlanta, Georgia while surrounded by loved ones and leaving behind a trail of cherished memories and a profound impact on the lives he touched. Once gaining his wings, His Father said, "Well done, my good and faithful son," so there he began to do his "Holy Ghost Dance" as he was reunited with his parents, William and Gaynell Miller, grandparents, Reverend Andrew and Lillie Mae Smith and Curtis and Emmaline Miller, aunts, Ruth Mims, Sarah Edwards, Deborah Norris, Mary L. Dreuitt, Elizabeth Edwards, Bobbi Jean McLane, Tarzetta McClure, and Flonzetta Kelly, uncles, Andrew Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Fred Miller, Thomas Ray Miller, and Curtis Miller, loving nieces, Tiffany English and Jabree Miller, and his fur baby nephew Tiki Davontae Newell. As we mourn the loss of Gary L. Miller, we are reminded of the immense impact he had on our lives. His love and devotion to his family will forever be etched in our hearts. Uncle Gary's special bond with his nieces and nephews will forever be cherished. Though his time with us was cut short, we take solace in the memories we shared and the lessons he taught us about the importance of enjoying life to the fullest. Gary leaves a legacy of love and memories to forever be cherished by his loving siblings, Gonaray Thornton and Curtis L. Miller of Alabama, Alvina A. Miller of Michigan, William R. (Dorothy) Miller, Alvin B. (Loretta) Miller, and Felix S. (Katina) Miller all of South Carolina, Winifred D. (Dock) Newell, LaKimberly N. (Derrick) Miller, and Winfred R. Miller all of Georgia; aunts, Dollie Mae Copeland, Elizabeth Jean Goodman, Marsha Knox, and Dorothy Holloway; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. The loss of our loved one will be deeply felt by all who knew him. Although Gary's departure will leave a void, his legacy of love, perseverance, and kindness will live on in our hearts forever. His testimonials continue to ring in our ears as we move through life inspired by his spirit. In the anointed words of The Bishop, as he was so lovingly known for, "Holy Ghost Power, We Keep It Moving...1, 2, Gone." Rest in eternal peace, Dear Gary.
