D'Juante Ny'Juwan Dickerson

D'Juante Ny'Juwan "Fred" Dickerson was born on September 17, 1999 to the parentage of Shawanda Dickerson and Montrece Pointer in Talladega, Alabama. At an early age, D'Juante received Christ and united with Wesley Chapel CME church and later in life he became a member of Belview Missionary Baptist Church. He was educated in the Talladega City School System and was a 2018 graduate of Talladega High School. While in high school, Fred was a great leader and an exceptional sportsman, especially on the basketball court. He was the MVP recipient in basketball, football, and baseball. Some of his greatest joys came while playing basketball and scoring 1,114 points during his time spent with the team. He furthered his education by attending Huntington College on a football scholarship in Montgomery, Alabama. At the time of his passing, D'Juante had been employed with Georgia Pacific for over 2 years. Words overflow like a fount for our D'Juante, affectionately known by many as "Fred" who was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. The words respectful, humble, and easy going would be the definition for Fred. He loved his family and friends beyond measures and enjoyed spending time with them. It was very easy talk to Fred about anything. He was an energetic, kind, and thoughtful soul who will be missed and remembered by the many lives he has touched while on this short journey. He lit up any room he entered with that beautiful vibrant smile and his SWAG that would stand out any where he went. Fred not only made an impact on so many, but he left an impression of a lifetime with all his loved ones, and although his memories will live forever, he was still taken home far too soon. We all know Fred is riding through those golden heavenly gates in one of his prize possessions, his dodge charger, dirt bike, or 4-wheeler, and playing every sport imaginable on those blissful clouds while screaming "War Eagle"! On the morning of March 19, 2023, D'Juante Ny'Juwan "Fred" Dickerson gained his angel wings and transitioned to his eternal home. Fred's life would seem too short to many, but to those who were blessed to be touched by him understand that his existence and the imprint he left on our hearts far exceeds the quantity of time that he stayed here. He leaves his loving memories to be forever cherished by his loving and devoted parents, Shawanda Dickerson and LaBragg Curry, Sr.; Godmother, Laura Campbell; six brothers, LaBragg Curry, Jr., Roderick Jones, Jr., R'Landis Jones, Torrence Pointer, DeAngelo Pointer, and Ashton Duncan; four sisters, Ashlee (Ronald) Hester, Montresa Pointer, and Brittany (Jerrica) Curry; grandparents, Wanda Dickerson, Calvin (Charlene) Cass, and Joyce Pointer; special aunts, Daphane (Willie) Dickerson and Tiffany (Quintavis) Dickerson; special cousins, Mercedes Dickerson, Takiya Dickerson, Khimora Dickerson, JaKerria Curry, Kadence Garrett, Ravion Headen, Raderius Montgomery, and Kardia Garrett; special friend, Mon'Dashia Twymon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
