Born on September 13, 1933, in Talladega, Alabama, Bettie was the beloved daughter of Jimmie Gibson and Eusie B. Smith Gibson. With a spirit as vibrant as the flowers she lovingly nurtured in her yard, Bettie embodied grace, kindness, and resilience. Educated in the Talladega City School System, Bettie's journey through life was marked by her unwavering dedication to her family and her career. She found fulfillment in her role as a Customer Service Manager at Walmart, where she impacted countless lives with her joyful disposition and caring approach. Those who had the privilege of knowing her will remember her warm smile and the way she made every person feel valued. A lover of her home, Bettie meticulously tended to her house, ensuring it was a sanctuary of comfort and love. She poured her heart into her family, nurturing relationships and creating a haven where memories were made. Her life was a testament to devotion, hard work, and the profound love a mother carries for her children. Bettie reunites in spirit with her beloved parents, Jimmie and Eusie Gibson, son, Gene Nunnally, and all her adored relatives who have passed before her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience that will forever echo in the hearts of her family. She is survived by two devoted sons, Scott Nunnally (Joan) and Ron Nunnally (Barbara); her beloved sister, Mary Smelley; her cherished grandsons, Chris Nunnally (Tayomi) and Nick Nunnally; her dear granddaughter, Cameron Nunnally; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will carry her memory with them always.
