Asheley McMeans

Asheley Kiana McMeans, affectionately known as "Ash," was born on August 29, 1992, in Talladega, AL. She was the adored mother of Ashton King Montgomery and the beloved daughter of Irish McMeans and Reginald Merritt. Asheley accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at Kingston Missionary Baptist Church, where she remained an active member throughout her life. From her formative years, she demonstrated a deep commitment to her faith, actively participating in various youth church activities and extending her hand to those in need. After graduating from Winterboro High School in 2010, Asheley's desire to help others led her to pursue a career in healthcare, a field where she could make a meaningful impact. She began her journey by completing the Phlebotomy Training Program at Gadsden State Community College, gaining her certification as a phlebotomist. With dedication and hard work, she advanced to become a medical assistant. Driven by a strong desire to do more, Asheley later enrolled at the University of Phoenix, majoring in Nursing, where she was expected to graduate in 2027. Asheley was a beautiful young lady who developed a passion for all things beauty related. She coupled her love for people with her passion for beauty to start a lash installation business. Believing that neither she nor beauty had limitations, she became a talented lash technician. Her business was not just a professional venture but a platform where she could connect with others and develop meaningful friendships. Outside of her professional life, Asheley was deeply committed to raising her son, Ashton, with the same values of love, compassion, and faith she embodied. Her dedication to Ashton was unparalleled. She worked tirelessly to provide a nurturing and supportive environment for him, ensuring he was grounded in the principles she held dear. Asheley was a supportive team mom for baseball, football, and basketball, always on the sidelines cheering Ashton on and supporting his endeavors with unwavering enthusiasm. She frequently attended Ashton's school functions, making sure to be present and involved in every aspect of his life. Family was at the core of Asheley's existence. She loved her family deeply and would help plan holiday gatherings and game nights, bringing everyone together to create precious memories. Her love for family and friends was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent together. On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, Asheley was called to her eternal home. While we mourn Asheley's passing, let us take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and has reunited with her dear grandparents Isah McMeans, Essie Ann McMeans, James Cook, and Gladys Cook, and her beloved aunt Emma Lean Swain. While Asheley's journey on this earth may have been cut short, her impact and the love she shared will resonate for generations to come. Her legacy will live on through her son, Ashton King Montgomery; her parents, Irish McMeans (Troy) and Reginald Merritt; her siblings, Isaiah Ashley, Brittany (Desmond) Walker, Kaleb Merritt ,and Kayla Merritt; her aunts, Evangelist Patricia Reynolds, Jackie (Rondell) Muse, and Keshia (Chris) Swain; her uncles, Rayvon McMeans, Lee (Deb) McMeans, Richard (Wendy) McMeans, Gerald McMeans, Derrick (Krystal) Merritt, and Willie Swain; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and close friends. As we gather to say our final goodbyes, we celebrate her life and the many beautiful memories she left behind. Asheley's journey on this earth was marked by love, laughter, compassion, and consistent faith in God. Although her passing has left a void in many hearts, we ask that you remember her not for how her life ended, but for how it was lived - as a testament to the power of faith, grace, and love. Asheley's light will continue to shine, and her life remembered as a lasting legacy of a life well-lived. Rest in peace, Asheley Kiana McMeans. We love you!
