Tonia Hardy

"I AM THAT GIRL" Tonia "Tann" Hardy was born on February 3, 1970, to the union of Thomas Hardy and Stella Keller Hardy in Pell City, Alabama. A woman of steadfast faith and invincible spirit, she devoted her life to her family, her faith, and her work. Tonia accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Mt. Canaan Baptist Church in Calcis, Alabama. She received her education in the Shelby County School System and was an accomplished graduate of the Vincent High School Class of 1988, where she showcased her musical talents as a trumpet player, a testament to her vibrant spirit. Her educational journey culminated in an associate degree in Early Childhood Education from Herzing College, which she applied with love and dedication in her work with children at various daycares, a before later becoming a respected supervisor in the automotive manufacturing industry at New South Express (NSE) for over 10 years. She was a God-fearing woman with a heart of gold. Tonia was a true believer of God's word with the most positive and uplifting spirit anyone could have. Negativity played no part in Tonia's life. Known for her radiant smile and selfless heart, Tonia truly embodied the essence of "Everything Good." To her family and friends, she was affectionately known as "Tann," a name that echoes the warmth and love she generously shared. Tonia cherished her role as a GLAMMA, loving on her four grandchildren-who were her greatest joys and most prized possessions. Tonia was a steadfast supporter of her favorite sports teams, the Auburn Tigers and the Miami Dolphins, exuding joy in every aspect of life. Her passing leaves an irreplaceable void in the hearts of all who knew her, but her spirit will forever shine through the cherished memories she created. Tonia "Tann" Hardy, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this earthly realm on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 while surrounded by loved ones at Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. After gracefully answering the Master's call, Tonia gained her heavenly wings joining her father, Thomas Hardy, nephew, Courtney Hardy and God sister, Dorothy Chancellor. Tonia leaves behind precious memories that will forever be cherished by her adorable four grandchildren who were the apple of her eyes, Quadarius Jews, Rahanna Hardy, Kenavien Walthall, and Tylen Hardy; two loving and devoted daughters, La'Coya Hardy and Tyesha Hardy; beloved mother, Stella Hardy; bonus daughter, Dontravia Calhoun; Goddaughter, Makaelyn Swain; three brothers, Cecil Keller, Jimmy Keller, and Jeffery Womack; brother/cousin, Ernest Terry (Cherry) Hamilton, Terry Keller, and Brian (Shay) Keller; three sisters, Triston Keller, Deborah (Terry) Keith, and Brenda Hardy; sister/cousin, Valerie (Rickey) Posey; two aunts, Angie Kelley and Virginia (Willie) Davis; uncle, James Hardy; special cousins, Jackie Hamilton, Lena Kelley, Armetria Kelley, Sonia Davis, and Jimmecka McGraw; nephews, Thomas Stephens, Terry Keith, Jr., Myron Hamilton, Darian Hamilton, and Antonio Womack; niece, Tonia Rivers; great-nephew, DeJaun Hardy; great-niece, Alexis Hardy; God sisters, Betty Robertson and Janell Wollen; special friend, Horace Bryant; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins other family and friends who will hold her memory dear in their hearts.
