Ta'Lyjah Vontrelle Moore

With heavy hearts and profound sorrow, we mourn the passing of Ta'LyJah Vontrelle Moore, who entered eternal rest on August 2, 2026. Born on February 15, 2000, in Talladega, Alabama, Ta'LyJah, affectionately known as "TLO" to family and friends, was a shining light in the lives of many. To his mother, Telisha Moore, he was a beloved son, a source of pride, and an embodiment of hope and promise. Ta'LyJah's journey began in the warm embrace of his family, where he nurtured his faith at Mt. Cleveland Missionary Baptist Church. From an early age, he caught the essence of community service, uplifting others as a member of the usher board and the youth choir. His education unfolded within the halls of the Talladega County School System, where he showcased his talents as a notable athlete on the football and basketball teams at Winterboro High School. As he transitioned to Lincoln High School, Ta'LyJah's pursuit of knowledge flourished, ultimately leading him to Alabama A & M University. There, he eagerly aspired to earn a degree in Computer Science, with dreams of graduating in the Spring of 2027. From a young age, Ta'LyJah displayed a passion for service and community. He participated in the Rushing Springs Summer Program, where he delighted in reciting the Bible verses Matthew 5:4-12, words that he carried with him throughout his journey. This spiritual foundation shaped his character and the kindness that radiated from him in all that he did. Ta'LyJah also devoted over a year of his life to the Boys and Girls Club in Huntsville, Alabama, where he was affectionately known as Coach "T." In this role, he nurtured a bond with the children that left a lasting impression. He coached them not just in sports, but also in life, instilling values of teamwork, respect, and perseverance. The children adored him, and he found immense joy in every moment spent engaging, mentoring, and inspiring them. Ta'LyJah's journey through life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an ever-present enthusiasm for music. His time spent in the recording studio was a reflection of his passion-a passion that resonated deeply with everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. Ta'LyJah's infectious energy and zest for life touched the hearts of many, leaving a lasting impression that will be deeply missed. Though his life was short lived, the memories of Ta'LyJah's laughter, his steadfast kindness, and his adventurous spirit will be cherished forever. In the embrace of eternity, Ta'LyJah will reunite with his beloved grandparents, Paul Moore, Jr. and Elizabeth Long, as well as his great-grandmother, Pearl Long, who await him with open arms. He is lovingly survived by his devoted mother, Telisha (Willie Garrett) Moore; his cherished sisters, MaKhia Streeter and Taymiya Moore; his bonus brother, Terrance Foster; his great-grandfather, Joe Lee Long; his bonus grandmother, Carolyn Streeter; his aunts, LaCresha Long, and Catrina Long, great-aunt who was also served as a loving grandmother, Aretta Brown; uncles, Wayne Long and Terrance Long;cousins who served as loving aunts, Francetta Brown, Shonda Brown, and Elaine Brown; special cousins-particularly Quaevion Paige and Cornelius Paige-and many other relatives and friends. Each of these lives echo the love he brought to the world. Let us come together in unity, holding fast to the joy he brought to our lives and the indelible mark he leaves in our hearts. Ta'LyJah Vontrelle Moore may have departed from our sight, but his spirit will forever remain with us as we celebrate a life that touched so many.
