Steve Swain

Born on May 19, 1965, to A.D. and Carrie Swain, Steve Allen Swain's journey through this life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and steadfast faith. From a young age, Steve embraced Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, becoming a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church, where he nurtured his faith and community ties. He received his education in the Talladega County School System, proudly attending Talladega County Training School. He later began his career as a contractor in the construction industry working tirelessly until his health began to decline. Affectionately known as "Scooby" , Steve was more than just a man; he was a beacon of light and a blessing to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His passion for fishing was matched only by his love for helping others, making him the go-to person for anyone in need. Whether it was lending a hand with a task or sharing joyful moments with family and friends, Steve's spirit radiated warmth and goodwill. On Sunday, February 15, 2026, Steve Allen Swain peacefully transitioned from his earthly realm at the age of 60, leaving behind a legacy of love that will forever reside in the hearts of those he cherished. He was proceeded in death by his parents, A.D. and Carrie Swain, brother, Bobby Swain, brother-in-law, Larry Jenkins, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Steve's 60-year legacy has been an amazing journey. He leaves behind his beloved spouse, Jacquelyn Wilson Swain; his son, Steve Allen Swain, Jr.; daughters, Talisa Swain, La'Jackie (Kelton) Swain, and Breatrice Wilson. He is lovingly remembered by his four brothers, Tommy (Beverly) Swain, Joe Tom (Jacqueline) Swain, Daniel Lamar (Latisha) Swain; four sisters, Linda Faye Moten, Adrian Chapman, Anita Swain Williams, and Karen Swain; sister-in-law, Carolyn Jenkins; a cherished grandchild, A'Zuri Wright; plus a blessed soul on the way; honorary brother/special cousin, Herbert Stockdale; and an honorary loved one, Sharron Swain. Steve also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. Steve Swain's light will forever shine in our hearts illuminating the paths we walk as we honor the legacy he leaves behind. Rest in peace dear Steve. You will be truly missed yet fondly remembered today and always. We Love you.
