Shareveise "ReRe" Garrett

On June 27, 1986, in Talladega, Alabama, My'Lisa Garrett and Derrick Wells welcomed to the world a beautiful bubbly baby girl who was given the name Shareveise Garrett and later became known to family and friends as "ReRe. She was a cherished daughter, devoted mother, loving family member, and treasured friend. From an early age, ReRe embraced her faith and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior, a guiding light in her life as she became a member of the Tabernacle of Praise. After completing her education within the Talladega City School System, she pursued her passion for helping others by becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Her compassionate spirit shone brightly in the healthcare field as she dedicated herself to caring for those in need, embodying kindness and grace that touched the lives of countless individuals. ReRe was not only known for her professional dedication, but also for the boundless love she shared with her three beloved children. A nurturing mother, she illuminated their lives with warmth, laughter, and strong support, allowing her spirit to flourish in each precious moment they shared. A person of remarkable character, ReRe's heart of gold endeared her to everyone she encountered. As we reflect on her life, we celebrate the many memories woven into the fabric of her journey, from her nurturing embraces to her infectious laughter. She was an independent woman who faced the world with grace and determination, a true testament to the strength of her character. Her independent spirit and commitment to being a productive member of society inspired those around her, leaving an indelible mark on her community. On the evening of July 7, 2026 as she peacefully transitioned into eternal rest, ReRe gained her heavenly wings, reuniting with loved ones who had departed before her including: her grandparents and great-grandparents, Essie Hunter, Jerry Charles Garrett, Essie Wells Meadows, Ruthie Mae Barclay, Jerry Lee Garrett, Sr. and Ethel Wells. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and faith will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. ReRe leaves behind a tapestry of love, woven tightly with the presence of her three adorable children, Essesanie Garrett, Demetrius Trannon, Jr., Taveon Barclay; mother, My'Lisa (As'iyah) Garrett; as well as her siblings, Kanochean Garrett, Ken (Kimberly) Wells, Brandon (Ella) Tanner, and Kellie (Jackie Lee) Tanner. Her aunts, Barbara (Arthur) Fuller Woodgett and Deidre (James) Wallace; great-aunts, Brenda (Steve) Swain, Louise Morris, Mary McKenzie, Annie (Mike) Harmon, Agnes (Robert) Barber, and Elida (Dwight) Wells-Borden; uncles, Michael Garrett, Jerry (Kitty) Garrett, Jr., Titus (Belle) Simmons, and Andre (Angela) Wells; great-uncles, Jerry "Toy" Garrett, William Duncan, Jr., Alfonso (Gail) Duncan, Matthew (Mia) Duncan, Gregory Garrett, Larry Garrett, Calvin Garrett, Frank Edward "Teddy" Garrett; cousins, Trytaious Fuller, Amiya Renea Smith, Latrina Heath, Sierra Heath, Cheyenne Heath, Alliyah Bell, Michael Garrett, Jr., Jalon Swain, and Janiya Wallace; special friend, Kim Thompson; and a multitude of relatives and friends will carry her memory in their hearts forever.
