Milton Fomby Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Milton Louis Fomby was born to the parentage of Mal Fomby and Christine Flemming on March 24, 1949 in Lincoln, Alabama. As a youth, Mr. Fomby accepted Christ and united with Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lincoln, Alabama. He received his formal education in the Talladega County School and was a graduate of Charles R. Drew School. Mr. Fomby's next path in life would be to start his career in the transportation industry as bus driver for Talladega County Schools. After over 30 years of being a devoted and dedicated bus driver, Mr. Fomby decided it was time to enjoy the retirement life. While traveling through this walk of life, he found love in his soulmate of 47 years, Mrs. Sherrion Fomby. They were later united in holy matrimony and together they formed a happy family with a blessed marriage of two loving children, DeMarcus and Sheree. Mr. Fomby was a fun loving, kind-hearted, energetic person who loved cutting grass and watching his Alabama "Roll Tide" Football Team during football season. Mr. Fomby's 73-year life journey has truly been a blessing to everyone he has encounter. On Monday morning, June 13, 2022, after God had graciously given Milton to us for seventy-three long earthly years, he felt it was time for him to peacefully close his eyes to this earthly world and transition to his new eternal home joining his wife, Sherrion Fomby, parents, Mal Fomby and Christine Flemming, two brothers, LaRay Fomby and James Fomby and two sisters Shirley George and Betty Ann Kirksey. Leaving behind to cherish the many years of Milton's loving memories are his two loving children, DeMarcus (Yashika) Fomby and Sheree Fomby; two grandchildren, Dreylan Fomby and Javian Fomby; two sisters, Arnita Green and Ernestine Mewborn; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
