    Margie L Turner

    February 18, 1939 - January 22, 2022

Sis. Margie (Lorene) Turner, of Munford, Alabama was born on February 18, 1939 to the late Topsy and Eva M. Orr of Lincoln, Alabama. Margie began her life early as a Faithful Follower of Christ! Being led by the Spirit of Jesus, she was an active and devoted member of Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church where she served in several ministries including Deaconess, Princess of Praise Dance Team, former supervisor for the Kelly Springs Youth Department, a member of Sunday School Class #7, the Wednesday night Bible study class and chairman for the widow's ministry. Margie attended the public schools of Talladega County and was a graduate of Talladega County Training School, known today as Talladega County Central High School. Margie was a dedicated member of the Walmart Corporation for over 25 years serving in various managerial positions. Along Margie's beautiful 82-year earthly journey, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Robert Lee Turner. This union was blessed with six beautiful children: Connie, Robert Wayne, Lorraine, Sheila, Danny and Darren. Her most lovely relationship that came only second to the love of God is the relationship that was shared with her late husband Mr. Robert Lee Turner of Munford, Alabama. Margie loved her children and enjoyed traveling with her family, gardening, crocheting and using her special oratorical skills. On Saturday, January 22, 2022 Margie calmly made her transition from her 82-year earthly life journey to her new eternal home when she answered the Master's call while in the care of Regional Medical Center in Anniston, Alabama. Welcoming her to her new home were her parents, Topsy and Eva M. Orr, husband, Robert L. Turner, son, Robert Wayne Turner and sister, Geneva Mason. She leaves to cherish many warm and loving memories, three daughters, Connie (William) Coleman, Lorraine (James) Boone, Sheila (James) Garrett; two sons, Danny (Stacy) Turner, and Darren (Staci) Turner; thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
