October 16, 1942 - March 2, 2021
On October 16, 1942 in Talladega, Alabama, the late Mrs. Earline Nolen gave birth to one of four children, a beautiful sparkling baby girl named Lois Marietta. Of the four siblings, Lois would be the only girl. She was a neighborhood mother and was loved by many people. Cooking and baking were her passionate hobbies. Mrs. Lois enjoyed cooking for family, friends, and loved ones. She was a jokester, fun-loving, and kind-hearted mother and grandmother who would "Tell it like it was"!! She was cherished immensely by her family and all who knew her. At an early age, Lois accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church where she remained a faithful member until her health begin to fail. She was a member of the choir, kitchen committee, nurse's guild and missionary. In 2018, Lois was inducted into the Shero's Hall of Fame under the leadership of Pastor Anthony G. McKinney at Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church because of her outstanding work in the Lord's Vineyard. Lois was a devoted and dedicated employee of Talladega County Training School for many years, but later retired from Helen Keller School for the Deaf and Blind as a cook. Although she treated everyone like family, her three children were the joys of her life. On late Tuesday evening, March 2, 2021, after God graciously shared Lois with us for 78 glorious years, Lois Nolen Curry a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt peacefully transitioned from this earthly walk of life to her new eternal resting place when she answered the call of her Master saying, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant" while under the care of Brookwood Citizen's Baptist Medical Center. Greeting her with outstretched arms at those pearly gates of heaven are her beloved mother, Earline and two brothers, Charles "Main" Nolen and Willie Andrew "Pero" Nolen. Lois memories will forever be cherished and remembered by; her daughter, Andrea (Hugh) Morris of Talladega, Alabama; two sons, Kerry D.
