Lamar Castleberry

Lamar "Clint" Castleberry, a devoted husband, cherished uncle and beloved friend, was born on October 22, 1954, in Talladega, Alabama. He journeyed from this life on April 20, 2026, leaving a profound impact on all who knew him. Clint was the proud son of Annie Mae Smiley Castleberry and Willie Arthur "Ralph" Castleberry, and he was one of the treasured eleven siblings, each of whom held a special place in his heart. From a young age, Clint's life was steeped in faith, as he grew up worshiping his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at Mt. Canaan Baptist Church, where the values he cherished were nurtured in a community of love and support. His education in the Talladega City School System laid the groundwork for his future endeavors, leading him from the textile industry to a fulfilling career in the painting and construction sectors. Clint found joy in his work, where his talents flourished and his reputation for diligence and quality service shone brightly. An avid sports enthusiast, Clint was a spirited supporter of his beloved Auburn Tigers. His passion for sports was rivaled only by his love for gardening. With an unyielding green thumb, Clint delighted in nurturing his vegetable garden, where he grew tomatoes, cucumbers, greens, and many other wonderful vegetables. He rejoiced in sharing tales of his harvest with friends and family, each story a testament to his love for nature and the simple joys of life. Clint's heart belonged to his beloved wife, Georgia Castleberry, with whom he shared over fifty remarkable years. Together, they exemplified a partnership marked by unconditional love, caring for their nieces and nephews as if they were their own. Their lives were a tapestry woven with laughter, shared dreams, and a deep-rooted commitment to family. On April 20, 2026 while in the comfort of his home surrounded by his beloved family, Mr. Lamar Castleberry traded labor for eternal rest. He was reunited with his parents, Mr. Willie Arthur and Annie Mae Castleberry, five sisters, Rosa Lee McKenzie, Willie Pearl Curry, Doris J. Curry, Brenda Rhodes, and Joice Castleberry, two brothers, William Castleberry and Ralph Castleberry, three nephews, Gary N. McKenzie, Charles Gregory McKenzie and Corvius Barclay, and niece, Tanja L. Curry. Mr. Castleberry's fun loving memories will forever be cherished by his loving and devoted wife, Georgia Castleberry; two nephews/son, Aiden Gooden and Jacoby Lynch; two nieces/daughters, Eboney Nicole Lynch and Serenity Calhoun; two sisters, Barbara Castleberry and Credelle Castleberry; one brother, Maurice Castleberry; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, acquaintances, and friends.
