Kaitlyn Massiah Weed

Miss Kaitlyn Massiah Weed, affectionately known as Honey, danced her way into the world on October 23, 2013, into the arms of her loving mother, Dricillia Weed. Little did her mother know that this beautiful bubbly bundle of joy would be a light that would brighten the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. Kaitlyn attended Saks Elementary School where her classmates and teachers lovingly referred to her as Sunshine, a fitting nickname for her radiant spirit. She was very intelligent and excelled academically, earning the title of honor student. While attending Saks Elementary, Honey met an inspiring teacher, Ms. Krystal Fomby, that she admired and respected. Ms. Fomby motivated her to work toward her dreams of becoming a doctor and a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Honey was known for her outgoing and vivacious personality. She had a rare ability to light up a room just with her smile. From the moment she stepped into a room, you knew you were in for a treat. She would showcase her many dance moves or serenade you with a song, preferably the blues. Her zest for dancing was infectious, and baby, she loved to dance! She poured love into every dance move and every song lyric. Honey's sense of style was as vibrant and expressive as her personality. She had a love for fashion and always took pride in her appearance. She had an old soul and was never at a loss for words. Honey absolutely adored her parents and her cat, Gucci. She was convinced that her mom knew everything there was to know about life. On July 25, 2024, little Miss Kaitlyn took her final bow on this earthly stage and joined her grandmothers, Carol Brown and Carolyn Weed, great-grandmother, Carolyn Brown and great-great-grandmother, Lily Green. Honey's memory will dance on in the hearts of her mother, Dricillia (Tonya Roberson) Weed; brothers, AyDenn Wilson, and Trevionne Roberson; sisters, Alecia Wilson, Keigan Roberson, and Ta'Joycelyn Roberson; grandfather, Steven Weed; aunts, Piarol (Michael) Brown, Dominique Trammell, and Zy'rha Pope; uncle, X'amien Pope; mother, Maurisha Wilson; loving aunt and uncle, Sabrina and Roderick Trammell; best friend, Karsyn Morris; her cousin she was awaiting to meet, A'mazieon Trammell, and a host of other family members and friends. Throughout her short but impactful life, Kaitlyn was a ray of light to all who knew her. Let's celebrate her and keep dancing to the beat she left behind.
