Remembering the Life of Ms. Jimmeka Gabrielle "Meka" Cooley Jimmeka Cooley, a radiant spirit whose life was a testament to love, joy, and unyielding faith was born on February 21, 1992, in Talladega, Alabama to the parentage of Jimmy Cooley, Jr. and Angela Wyckoff Blackmon. Jimmeka blessed the world with her vibrant presence, captivating those around her with an infectious smile and a laughter that brought sunlight into the lives of many. At a young age, Jimmeka embraced faith and united with Bethel Missionary Baptist Church. She was educated in the Clay County School System and was a 2010 graduate of Clay County high School. Following her high school graduation Jimmeka furthered her education by attending Central Alabama Community College. She later pursued a career as a loan specialist which she continued until her health began to decline. Jimmeka was truly a beacon of joy, with a heart overflowing with love and an infectious zest for life. She had an unparalleled gift for bringing people together, whether it was through her love of entertaining, her spontaneous dancing, or her passion for shopping. Among her cherished pursuits were vacations filled with laughter and endless swimming, each moment more joyful than the last. Known affectionately as everyone's keeper, Jimmeka offered an infectious laughter to all who crossed her path, creating treasured memories that will echo in the hearts of those fortunate to know her. With a heart full of love and an infectious zest for life, she was always ready to lend a helping hand to her family and friends. Jimmeka loved entertaining her loved ones, dancing and shopping, while her passion was vacationing and swimming. She became everyone's keeper, offering advice, comfort, and laughter, creating cherished memories in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Jimmeka departed this earthly realm at the age of 34, on June 24, 2026. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and laughter, embraced in the hearts of those who loved her dearly. Her spirit soaring high as she watches over us all, she is now reunited with her cherished father, Jimmy Cooley, mother, Angela Blackmon, grandfather, Solden Cooley, Sr., great-grandparents, Winford and Ella Gunn Cooley and Millard R.C. Hunter and Elizabeth Person Hunter, Rufus and Louise Wyckoff and Louise, grandmother, Carolyn Wyckoff, two uncles, Michael Cooley and Germane Cooley, one aunt, Ella M. Taylor; and sister-in-law, Dominique Blackmon. Left to celebrate her life and remember her lively spirit are: her only son whom she loved unconditionally, Rhedrian Daniels; dear grandmother, Helen Perkins; brother, Terrell Blackmon; sisters; Callie (Alonzo) Forbus, Mikeala Forbus, and Sarrah Tidwell; bonus mom, Tanya Bryant; five uncles, Solden Cooley, Jr., Winston (Anita) Hunter, Todrick (Delethia) Hunter, Cordale Hunter, and Richard Williams; thirteen aunts, Margaret (Willie Gene) McLemore, Donna (Larry) Cooley, Kareen (Germaine) Hunter, Bernita Hunter, Ychiva Hunter, Takesha Hunter, Chemeka Hunter, Elizabeth Hunter, Sharon Riggins, Karen Williams, Carol Wyckoff, Alethea (Isaac) Newell, and Synithia (Terron) Pierson; loving father of her son, Rodrequez Daniels; best friends, Demisha Robinson, Brittany Blackmon, LaBreshia Matthews, Jasmine Blackmon, Emori Cooley; two godchildren, Zilan Tuck and Honor Gabrielle Stowe; special friend, Jimon Johnson; and a wealth of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends who will forever have her etched in their hearts.
