Gary Wayne Curry, Jr.

Born in Talladega, Alabama, to Gary Wayne Curry Sr. and Angela Barnett Curry, Gary's life was a tapestry woven with love, laughter, and an unwavering spirit. A proud graduate of Lincoln High School, he embraced various roles throughout his life, ultimately finding fulfillment as a cashier at TA in Lincoln, Alabama. His infectious smile and kind demeanor brightened the days of those around him, reminding us of all that joy can be found even in the simplest moments. Gary was a devoted father, the loving caretaker of his five wonderful children-Janavian, Amariyah, Lyanie, Lynex, and Legend-who now carry forward his legacy of love. He awaited the arrival of his precious daughter, Garyionah, with anticipation and joy, always hopeful for new beginnings. His family was his anchor, and he nurtured his relationships with a heart of gold. A passionate gamer, Gary often immersed himself in virtual worlds, finding joy and adventure on his PS5. He cherished moments spent with friends and family, reminding everyone that life's greatest treasures are the bonds we forge and the memories we create. Gary lived a life filled with laughter, love, and, most notably, a deep-seated passion for Alabama football. He was a loyal supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide, often found cheering with infectious enthusiasm for his team, lighting up every gathering with his undeniable joy for the game. On Monday morning, September 29, 2025 Gary Wayne Curry Jr., a beloved son, devoted father, uncle, and cherished friend, transitioned from this earthly realm to eternal peace. Gary's vibrant spirit will forever resonate in our hearts, even as we mourn his untimely departure. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ray and Faye Barnett and William and Rosie Lee Curry, brother, Tontavious Dion Curry, aunt, Teresa Barnett, uncle, Randy Barnett, and cousin, Tikerah Davis. His enduring legacy will be carried on by his parents, Gary Curry, Sr. and Angela Curry; fiancé, NaToya Marbury; five adorable children, Janavian Curry, Amariyah Curry, Lyanie Curry, Lynex Curry, and Legend Curry; his loving angel who he was awaiting the arrival; Garyionah Curry; brother; Brandon Jerrod Curry; two sisters, Kimberly Nicole Curry and Jessica Nicole Curry; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. As we come together in remembrance, let us celebrate the vibrant life of Gary Wayne Curry Jr., finding comfort in the laughter and love he gifted us during his brief time on Earth.
