Clifton Embry Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Clifton Embry was born on October 1, 1974, to Ollis Embry, Jr. and Edna McKinny Embry in Talladega, AL. Clifton, known throughout his community and by his family and friends as "Blac" or "Cliff" received his formal education in the Talladega City School system and was a graduate of Talladega High School Class of 1994. Cliff was previously employed with Nestle Water, M & H Value, and PPG where he held several positions from production worker, head maintenance, pipefitter, and held several leadership positions throughout his life. Cliff was a man of honor, respect and power. He had his own record label where he was the producer and owner of Blac Mobb Records. Those that knew him, knew that he loved his nation and his Gama brothers. If you asked him a question expect a long story to go along with the answer. Cliff didn't bite his tongue and always stood his ground no matter what the situation was. Cliff was a family man, who truly loved his family. In 1997 Cliff, met his wife, the former Tamiko Fair in Talladega, AL. They were united in Holy Matrimony on July 08, 2005 and together they shared eight children. On May 26, 2022, in Carbon Hill, AL, Cliff traded his 47-year earthly journey for eternal rest. Cliff was preceded in death by his parents, Ollis Embry, Jr. and Edna Embry, his grandparents David Lucus and Fannie Mae McKinney and Ollis Embry, Sr. and Annie Castleberry, his sister Mataylnn McKinney and son JaQuarrie Harris. Cliff leaves a legacy of love and memories to be remembered and cherished by his wife Tamiko Embry; his seven children, Jarvis, Deontae, Janaya, Shakira, Jamal, JaQuay, and MyKiyah; five grandchildren, his aunts Barbara (Billy) Brown, Mary (George) Ragland, Lillie Mae Pickett and Betty Lane; and a host of other relatives and friends.
