Cathy Wiggins

Mrs. Cathy LuVell Hobdy Wiggins, a native of Prichard, Alabama and a lifelong resident of Talladega, Alabama was born on May 15, 1961 and fell asleep in death on August 28, 2021. She was baptized as a child and a longtime member of Lilly Hill Baptist Church. Cathy attended the Talladega School for the Deaf and Blind for most of her educational years, then moved back home where she continued her education graduating from Cedar Grove Academy. During her early years at Talladega School for the Deaf and Blind. She was a successful member of track and field and swim team. She won many first-place ribbons, metals, and trophies. On the morning of Saturday, August 28, 2021, Cathy fell asleep in death awaiting the resurrection of life. Cathy was preceded in death by her father, Jeremiah Hobdy and great-grandson, Kaysion Wiggins. Cathy leaves to cherish her loving memories, two children Marilyn Wiggins and Antonio Wiggins, both of Talladega, Alabama; a very devoted mother, Catherine Kidd Hobdy of Prichard, Alabama; one sister, Mary Hobdy Carter of Mobile, Alabama; three brothers, Claude (Debbie) Braddock and Michael (Jackie) Braddock both of Mobile, Alabama, and Timothy Hobdy of Mauvilla, Alabama; one uncle, Jimmie (Evelyn) Kidd of Hartford, Connecticut; one aunt, Little Dannie (sister) Kidd of Mobile, Alabama; nine grandchildren, one adopted, Yahmoto Wiggins; one great-grandchild; a godson, Jordan McKenzie; two special Aunt Looney's children, all of Talladega, Alabama, two best friends, Keysha Clay of Talladega, Alabama and Cheryl Moore of Mobile, Alabama; Cathy had many cousins she spoke with daily. She also had a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
