Ms. Camilla English peacefully departed this world on April 6, 2026, in her cherished hometown of Pell City, Alabama. Born on August 23, 1973, to George Washington English and Lela Mae Howard English, Camilla embodied a spirit that was as vibrant as it was genuine, leaving an indelible mark on all who were fortunate enough to know her. A woman of faith, Camilla accepted Christ at a tender age, finding a home within the Holy Hill Church of Our Lord Jesus Christ, where she remained a devoted member until her health began to decline. Her education, completed in the Talladega County School System, culminated with a proud graduation from Lincoln High School. Throughout her career in the retail industry, she dedicated herself to her work and family, ensuring the well-being of those she loved most. Camilla was a captivating personality, loved for her candid nature and infectious laugh. She found joy in the little things, whether it was playing games on her phone, cheering for her favorite wrestling stars on Monday and Wednesday nights, or embarking on delightful travels with her grandchildren-her most treasured blessings. On that peaceful Monday afternoon surrounded by the love she cultivated throughout her life, Camilla made her grand entrance through the pearly gates, reuniting with her beloved parents, George and Lela, her sister Colleen Banks, and her niece Shaneaka McGuire. Her legacy of love will be eternally cherished by her three daughters, Jasmine English, Deangela (Galen) English, and Carmen (Tavoris) Puryear. She held a special place in her heart for her two nieces who were like daughters, Lela English and JoAnna Beavers, as well as her brothers, Willie George English and John English; sisters, Christa Spann and Carrissa (Patrick Woods) Knight; and her pride and joy-her grandchildren, Serenity English and Skylar English, her bonus granddaughter, Josephine, and TeTe babies, Harmony English, Landon English, and Kashten Curry; special friends, Barry Posey, Kimberly Moore, Marilyn Posey, and Beverly Scott; along with a host of other relatives and friends. As we reflect on Camilla's life, we remember a woman who painted her world with laughter, kindness, and unwavering love. Though she has departed from our sight, she remains forever in our hearts, guiding us with her spirit and reminding us to cherish every moment. In celebrating her life, we honor the beautiful legacy of a woman who truly thrived in love and joy.
