Billie A. Taylor

With love and gratitude for a life well lived, we announce the passing of Billie A. Taylor, who departed this life on August 4, 2026, at the age of 83. Born on January 5, 1943, in Anniston, Alabama, Billie was a proud daughter of her community and a graduate of Cobb Avenue High School, Class of 1961. During her high school years, she was honored to serve as the head majorette, a role that reflected her confidence, grace, and lifelong love of dance. Billie was a faithful member of Faith Outreach Ministries, where her warm spirit and caring heart touched many lives. She never met a stranger and was known for being outgoing, generous, and sociable. Whether she was hosting family cookouts, showing off her grilling skills, dancing to her favorite music, or traveling with her beloved husband, Billie embraced every opportunity to create lasting memories. She shared more than 20 wonderful years of marriage with her late husband, James E. Taylor. Together, they enjoyed traveling and building a life centered on faith, family, and love. Known as the matriarch of her family, Billie carried that title with great pride and responsibility. She believed family was her greatest blessing and devoted herself to keeping everyone connected. She was not only a loving mother and grandmother but also a mother figure to many of her nieces and nephews, offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love throughout their lives. Her strength, wisdom, and nurturing spirit created a legacy that will continue through the generations she helped shape. Billie was preceded in death by her devoted husband, James E. Taylor; her children, Deward Andrews, Shelby Ware, and Sandra Star; and her siblings, Larry Ware and Louise Stewart. She leaves to cherish her precious memories her loving sons, Walter Andrews, Jr. and Bobby Andrews; her stepsons, Jerome Taylor, James E. Taylor, Jr., and Jeffery Taylor; her brothers, Gerald Ware and Michael Ware; her sisters, Annette Ware, and Elizabeth Lee; her 11 beloved grandchildren; her cherished cousins, Shirley Ware and Helen Beard; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends. Billie A. Taylor will be remembered for her joyful spirit, generous heart, unwavering love for her family, and the strength with which she led those she loved. Her smile, laughter, and legacy of love will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
