Belinda Maxwell
February 6, 1953 - February 23, 2022
Belinda Annette Hearn Maxwell was born on February 6, 1953, in Lineville, Alabama, to the union of the late Earmon and Mary Staples Hearn Wood. Belinda accepted and confessed Christ at an early age and united with Springhill Baptist Church where she served as a faithful servant on several ministries until her health began to fail, including President of the Springhill matrons, women society and the senior usher board. She received her formal education in the Clay County School system attending Clay County Training School and later becoming a graduate of Lineville Hill High School Class of 1971. Shortly after high school, Belinda began working as a nutritionist at Clay County Hospital until she retired. Affectionately known by her family as "Annette", Belinda was united in holy matrimony to the late Arie Maxwell. Although there were no children born to this union, Annette had several nieces and nephews that she treated as her own. Annette was an avid nutritionist and loved cooking and watching television; but serving the Lord was what she loved most. Belinda was a kind, giving, and loving sister, aunt, and friend to all who knew her. Belinda departed this life on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 while under the care of Gadsden Regional Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earmon Hearn and Mary Hearn Wood. She leaves to cherish and honor her memories, two brothers, John (Sherry) Hearn of Atlanta, Georgia and Nelson (Donna) Hearn of Charleston, South Carolina; two sisters, Dell Hearn and Dollie Dark of Lineville, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
