The work I've done seems so small, seems like nothing at all, but when I stand before my God, I want to hear Him say, "Well Done!" Anthony "Boola" Bolden now has a home where the saints abide over in glory land. Born on August 8th, in the of our Lord and Savior to the proud parents of Simpson Bolden Sr. and Eleanor Prather Bolden in Talladega, Alabama. He was an exceptional, God-fearing man who was loved by many. He is survived by Son, Kever Kelly, Talladega, AL, Daughter, Jerrica Dates, Montgomery, AL, Son, Broderick Dates, Montgomery, AL Goddaughter, Tenneka Brown, Deatsville, AL. His High School Sweetheart and Best Friend, Sherry Dates, Montgomery, AL. Grandchildren that were his JOY AND PRIDE; Jermari, Madisyn, Jaylen, Koi, and Jer'Nee. Brothers: Kenneth (Daisy) Bolden, Montgomery, AL, Reuben (Wanda) Bolden, Talladega, AL. Sisters: Teresa Cole, FaTina Bolden, Sheila (Jimmy) Stockdale, all of Talladega, AL, Yolanda Renee (Gary Medley) Bolding Davis, Ackron, OH. Sister in Law's: Yvonne Bolden, Talladega, AL, Wendy Bolding, Ackron, OH. Aunts: Ruth Morgan, Brooklyn, NY, and Jaqueline Prather, Akron, OH. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who loved him very deeply. Devoted friends: Darryl "Gig" Ragland, Arelious "Bam" Tuck, Reginald "Mudeye" Rice, Frank "Jab" Pointer, Michael Beavers, Deitrich Massingale, Roosevelt "Hudinni" Estelle, and Timothy "LeeLee" Keith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Simpson and Eleanor Bolden. Brothers: Simpson Bolden Jr. and Reginald Bolding. Sister, Cecelia Fuller-Pool. Born a Talladega native, Anthony found a passion in Basketball and played Basketball for Talladega High School. Growing on Knox St., His mother made sure that God was in his life, and he became a member of Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He was a man full of life, love, and laughter. He was truly the life of any party. He was a true War Eagle fan and loved to cheer his team on. He was currently employed with Trio Community Meals, where he would be the first person to arrive for work every morning. His life was his grandchildren, and he was there for every occasion. A true definition of a grandfather's love. His passion for cooking on the grill at every event will be missed beyond measure.
