Wyatt Embry

On March 12, 1961 in Talladega, Alabama, Joe Nathan Embry and Doris Groce Embry welcomed to the world a baby boy who was given the name, Wyatt Edward Embry. Wyatt was part of a large and loving family with a strong foundation in Little Jerusalem Holiness Church of God, which is where he accepted Christ at a young age. He received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and was a graduate of Lincoln High School where he played on the baseball team. Throughout life, Wyatt worked various jobs with his last place of employment being with Goodgame construction company as a landscaper. Along Wyatt's earthly journey, he met his soulmate and the love of his life, the former Ms. Connie Gaston and in 1985, the two were united in Holy Matrimony and to this union came the blessing of three daughters and one son. He adored his wife, children, and grandchildren. Wyatt was an avid sportsman who enjoyed all sports, but the Dallas Cowboys was his favorite NFL team and when they were playing, you could not get a minute of his time. It was all about them Cowboys!! Not only did he favor the Cowboys, but he also dedicated a good bit of his time to the Auburn War Eagles. As soon as baseball season would roll around you could find around resting on his couch watching the L.A. Dodgers. He was also a racecar fan and enjoyed watching the Talladega 500 Races. Wyatt loved grilling and entertaining his family and friends. He was known to be the life of the party and was always joking around with everyone acting like Tupac. He loved Tupac Shakur and enjoyed all his music. Earlier in life, Wyatt was a member of the community baseball team "The Space Cowboys" and the community basketball team "The Heartbreakers". He was true to his family, friends, and community. His fun-loving memories will never be forgotten. On Saturday, July 22, 2023, in Lincoln, Alabama, Wyatt Edward Embry answered the Master's call and entered into eternal rest while surround by loved ones in the comfort of his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Nathan and Doris Embry, brother, Donnie Embry, father-in-law, Harvey (Josephine) Gaston, grandmother, Louise Embry, great-nephews, Jahiem Embry and Messiah Taylor, brothers-in-law, Roger Gaston, Nicholas Carmichael, and Jimmy Carmichael. Wyatt's legacy of love and precious memories will forever be remembered by his wife Connie Embry of Lincoln; three daughters, TaCorya Gaston of Lincoln, AL, Shevita Holiday of Raleigh, NC, and Cierra (Julian) Estelle of Talladega, AL; one son, Jeremy (Kirbie) Embry of Mardisville, AL; nine grandchildren, CorTavion, TaNiyah, JaQuavious, TyKeyia, Jayveon, Ky'Morree, Kayleigh, JaCameron, and Ty'liyah; four sisters, Melissa (William) Baker of Anniston, AL, Barbara Embry of Talladega, AL, Eunice Embry of Lincoln, AL, and Nyree Embry of Talladega, AL; sisters-in-law, Teresa (Jimmy) Carmichael of Lincoln, AL, Kathey Gaston of Alex City, AL, Barbara Gaston of Pell City, AL, and Shirley Carmichael of Anniston, AL; brother-in-law, Gregory Taylor of Lincoln, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
