Willie Miller, Jr.

On Friday, October 31, 1941 in Talladega, Alabama, Mr. Willie J. Miller, Sr. and Mrs. Lula D. Miller welcomed a bouncing baby boy whom they graced with the name Willie James Miller, Jr. Mr. Miller was a man of faith. At a young age, he began serving his Lord and Savior when he united with Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. Later in life, he continued being a servant of the Lord while attending The Church of Christ until his health began to fail. Mr. Miller was affectionately known to his family and friends simply as "James". He received his education in the Talladega City School System. After graduation he decided to travel to Niagara Falls, New York for better job opportunities. He soon joined the workforce becoming a part the General Motors car dealership to provide for his family. After many years of work, Mr. Miller transferred back to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to join the General Motors Warehouse team as a forklift operator until his retirement. There is no place like home, Mr. Miller moved back to Talladega several years ago enjoying his life with family and friends. Playing cards, watching his westerns, and cheering on his favorite football team, "The Alabama Roll Tide" were a few enjoyments he loved. On February 11, 2024, Mr. Miller peacefully transitioned from this earthly walk of life to his eternal resting place upon answering the Master's call while in the care of Princeton Baptist Medical Center. Preceding him in death were his parents, Mr. Willie J. Miller, Sr. and Mrs. Lula D. Miller, grandparents, Mr. Grady Davis and Mrs. Mary Suttle Davis, Mr. Ed Miller and Mrs. Mary Miller, sister, Ms. Mary Ann Miller, two brothers, Mr. Arthur L. Miller and Mr. Albert Coleman, and a son, Mr. Anthony Miller. Mr. Willie James Miller, Jr. leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Mr. Michael Miller of Talladega, Alabama and Mr. Roger (Zoey) Miller of Oxford, Alabama; two daughters, Mrs. Rebecca (Julius) Ragland and LaTanja "Denise" Miller, both of Talladega, Alabama; four sisters, Ms. Allene B. Scott of Talladega, Alabama, Ms. Edna "Gail" Miller, and Mrs. Grace M. "Nell" Conder, both of Niagara Falls, New York, and Mrs. Sabrina M. (Alonza) Ross; four brothers, Mr. Lawrence Miller, Mr. Cecil (Janet) Miller, Mr. Franklin J. Miller, and Mr. Charles A. Miller, all of Talladega, Alabama; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
