Teresa Crowe

Teresa Ann Swain Crowe, a compassionate and loving soul, was born on February 21, 1974, in Talladega, Alabama, to her mother, Jannie Mae Swain Powell. From a young age, Teresa's faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she was a dedicated member of Kingston Missionary Baptist Church before joining Destiny Mission, Inc. under the leadership of Prophet Darrell M. Keith. Teresa's educational journey led her to graduate from Talladega County Central High School in 1993, after which she devoted her time to various workplaces before finding a home at Bridgewater until her health began to fail. Remembered for her lively smile that could brighten any room, Teresa's warmth and big-hearted nature always shone through. Her selflessness extended to all she encountered, giving a helping hand whenever needed. Teresa's true joy came from her children, Kalum and Halley, whom she cherished deeply. She also had a special affection for all children, often lending a caring hand to those in her community. In her moments of respite, Teresa found solace in baking and sharing her culinary creations with loved ones. Her passion for cooking reflected her nurturing spirit and love for those around her. On February 16, 2024, while under the care of Amedisys Hospice and surrounded by her beloved family, Teresa Ann Swain Crowe gained her heavenly wings and peacefully departed this earthly realm reuniting with her grandparents, Jerry H. Swain, Sr. and Plumer L. Swain, brother, Joe E. Swain, uncle, Jerry H. Swain, Jr., aunt, Betty Ann Swain Wilson, and nephew, Joshua Swain. Teresa leaves a legacy filled with love and memories for her two children, Kalum Swain and Halley Swain; loving mother, Jannie Mae Swain Powell; four brothers, Larry (Mary Lee) Swain, Curtis Lee (Teresa) Swain, Terry Swain, and Ricky (Stacy) Swain; two sisters, Voncilla (Gerald) Braxton and Vickie (Amos) Garrett; aunts, Rosie Lee Garrett, Minnie Ree Garrett, Co-Pastor Dorothy Sue Keith, and Mary Ann Swain; uncle, Kindness Swain; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will miss her dearly. In Teresa's memory, let us hold dear her love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those around her. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
