Sujutoria Truss

Sujutoria Truss was born on December 13, 1977 to the union of Don Hickman, Sr. and Beverly Truss Hickman in Montgomery, Alabama. She graced the world with her warm spirit and kind heart. During Sujutoria's adolescent years, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education in the Talladega City School System and was a graduate of Talladega High School. After completing her education, Sujutoria further her education in healthcare. Throughout her life journey, Sujutoria found her calling in caring for the elderly, shaping a career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the healthcare industry. She touched the lives of many with her compassion and dedication, leaving an indelible mark on those she served and worked alongside. She loved taking care of the elderly and it was a proven fact as she worked various jobs in the healthcare industry including Cook Springs Nursing Home, Golden Living, NHC, and Talladega Healthcare. Taking care of the elderly was her passion. Affectionately known as "Spunk", Sujutoria was a gentle soul whose presence illuminated the lives of those around her. She was a very outgoing person who loved to enjoy life and have a good time. Going to the beach was her favorite place of relaxation. Although she enjoyed life, the joy of her life and her most prized possessions were her children and grandchildren. On April 4, 2024 while in the care of Grandview Medical Center surrounded by her loved ones, Sujutoria traded labor for eternal rest. May her soul find tranquility in the heavens above, where she is reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Leaving behind to cherish all Sujutoria's love and precious memories are her three loving children; one son, Jamarqueius Truss; two daughters, Niesha Truss and Kyaira Truss; bonus daughter, Shontell Burton; parents, Don Hickman, Sr. and Beverly Hickman; two brothers, Don Earl Hickman, Jr. and Kendarius Hickman; three sisters, Sheletia (Mark) Shirel, Arriba Truss, and Yosheda (Melvin) Hickman; eight grandchildren, Trinity Burton, Caiden Curry, Braylon Gooden, Raelynn Chambliss, Jayden Gooden, Maverick Truss, Taelynn Truss, and Zaiden Truss; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Sujutoria's journey on this earthly plane may have reached its end, but her spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who knew her.
