Stanley Menefield

On December 13, 1959, in Talladega, Alabama, Stanley Menefield, was one of four children born to the union of Willie Joe Menefield and Nona Chatman Menefield. Stanley was a cherished member of the Africa Missionary Baptist Church, where he faithfully served as a trustee for many years. His strong commitment to the church and its mission was an inspiration to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He enriched the lives around him with his warm spirit and thoughtful wisdom, leaving an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have crossed his path. From a young age, Stanley embraced the importance of education and strived for excellence. He completed his formal studies at Talladega High School and went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Talladega College and became a proud member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Demonstrating his commitment to lifelong knowledge, Stanley pursued a career as a Chemical Analyst, solidifying his position as a respected employee with Pell City Refractory Chemical Plant until he retired. Throughout his career, Stanley held various teaching positions, touching the lives of numerous students. His passion for instruction and his ability to connect with others had a profound impact on those he encountered, especially the younger youth who had an interest for becoming a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. Whether teaching special training for the youth fraternity or assisting with pledging, Stanley's dedication and leadership were widely recognized. He enjoyed cooking, eating, and entertaining, not only with his beloved family, but with the Fraternity Step shows and his Fraternity brothers. A dear soul who embraced family, community, and the joy of meaningful connections, Stanley found peace and joy sitting on the tranquil riverbanks casting his rod and reel while waiting on the big catch. Stanley's vibrant spirit and generous nature were instrumental in his involvement within the Knoxville community. Known for his untiring support and willingness to lend a helping hand, Stanley was a true beacon of light and will always be remembered by his family and friends. Stanley Menefield, a man of steadfast dedication and a pillar of his community, traded his earthly journey for eternal rest on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Once entering the heavenly realm, Stanley was greeted by his beloved parents, Willie Joe and Nona Menefield. Stanley leaves behind a legacy of strength, wisdom, and kindness to forever be remembered and cherished by his loving and devoted brothers, Aundra (Minnie) Menefield of Tupelo, Mississippi, Dominic (Deborah Jean) Menefield of Atlanta, Georgia, and Dexter (Linda) Menefield of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; bonus brother, John (Brandy) Reynolds of Spartenburg, South Carolina; uncle, Robert Chatman; aunts, Maxine (Bobby) Zinnerman, Earline Chatman, and Verma Chatman; and a host nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whose lives he touched. In this time of mourning, we ask for your thoughts and prayers to uplift and comfort the Menefield family as they navigate through this period of grief and loss. Stanley may have left this earthly realm, but his spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him.
