Segarna Brown

"Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant" Ms. Segarna Moore Brown affectionately known to her family and friends as "Seg" begin her earthly journey on May 3, 1951, in Anniston, Alabama. She was the loving daughter of the late John Moore, Jr. and the late Melinda Crawford Sharp. Wherefore, Segarna left her parents and cleaved unto the only true love of her life, Victor James Brown, and they became as one flesh. From this union two children were born: One daughter, Tina Sheree Brown and One Son, Timothy Maurice Brown The vines of Segarna's life were rooted in Anniston Al, where she accepted Christ at an early age. She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the Nurses Guild Ministry. Segarna graduated from Cobb Avenue High School as a proud member of the class of 1969. She went on to further her education at Ayers State Technical College and earned a nursing degree. Her passion for nursing was evident in the way she cared for her patients, always going above and beyond to provide comfort and support. As a man doth good in his life, he also rejoiceth and enjoys the fruits of his labor. Segarna was a wise woman in whom God gave understanding to know how to work, enjoy life and provide for her family. Segarna worked and retired three times. She was employed at NHC nursing facility for 25 years as a CNA, a CNA Instructor, an Infection Control Nurse, Charge Nurse and Unit Coordinator. She continued her love for nursing as a Hospice coordinator at Wiregrass Hospice for 14 years and ending her nursing career as a Special Needs classroom nurse in the Anniston City School System for 10 years. Beyond her professional accomplishments, Segarna was an avid Atlanta Braves baseball fan, a devoted supporter of the Alabama Crimson Tide, a passionate collector and a writer, even writing her first book "My Journey" in her 20's. She was known for her unwavering strength, especially as a breast cancer survivor, inspiring those around her with her courage and determination. Segarna's journey as a breast cancer survivor served as a testament to her strength, courage, and resilience in the face of adversity. The joys and pleasures of her life were her dedication to her children, grandchildren, relatives, and coworkers, all of whom he praised God for daily. Segarna fought a good fight, finished her course, and entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. She was welcomed by her parents, John Moore, Jr. and Melinda Crawford Sharp, her sister, Susie Moore Peoples, and her nephew, Tony Moore. The legacy of Segarna's season is left to be cherished by her daughter, Tina (Tarrence) Northard her son, Timothy Brown; her grandchildren, Justin (Jessica) Brown, Je'Vonna Brown, Jazzmon Brooken, and Ava Brown; her great-grandchildren, Jeremiah Gladden, Braxton Brown, Brailen Brown, and Kash Brown; her brother, Robert ( Johnnie) Moore; God-Daughters, Janiya Jackson and Jaquina Jackson; her nieces, Twuana (Willie) Hester and Tonja (Mike) Turner; her nephew, Demetrius (Jay) Gaston; Uncle, Henry Moore, and a host of other relatives and friends. Segarna Brown may have left this world, but her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. .... Lord, help us to accept the seasons in our lives as we seek your divine will. Give us the reassurance that we can master all things through You.
