Roosevelt Boyd

Mr. Roosevelt Boyd began his earthly journey on July 29, 1944, in Anniston, Alabama to his parents, James Boyd and Ann Laura Boyd. Roosevelt was educated in the Anniston City School System. He graduated from Cobb Avenue High School with the class of 1963 where he was a member of the Cobb Panthers football team. His love for football extended into his adult life as he became a passionate supporter of the Anniston High School Bulldogs, often attending games to cheer them on. Roosevelt worked several jobs before finding employment at FMC, where he worked for 40 years until he retired. Roosevelt was a dedicated family man. He was more than just a provider for his family; he was the embodiment of strength, love, and unwavering support. A man of simple pleasures, he found joy in tending to his yard and home, making sure both were flawless. Roosevelt loved to unwind with his favorite shows, particularly "Sanford and Son" and CNN news, never missing a moment to stay informed and entertained. On Tuesday, March 4, 2025, Roosevelt completed his earthly journey and entered eternal rest while under the care of Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Annie Laura Boyd; children, Roosevelt Boyd, Jr and Reinaldo Boyd; and siblings, James Boyd, Jr. and Edna Gilbert. His memories will forever be cherished by the love of his life, Milton Ann Jackson; his son, Quincy (Alicia) Boyd; stepchildren, Tawanda Jackson, Roddricka (Kayla) Jackson, Orlando (Caportia) Jackson, and Derrick (Keena) Jackson; grandchildren, Ankena (D'Angelo) Kelly, Ashley Carter, Stedman (Sequoia) Jennings, Grace Alectra Boyd, Darius Boyd, Roderick Burke, Kara ( Raekwon) Billingsley, LaQuorya Jackson, Orlando Jackson Jr., Tekyia Jackson, Roddricka Jackson Jr., Shiwanna Jackson, Jaden Jackson, Jada Jackson, and E'Miya Jackson; 14 great-grandchildren; brothers, David (Doris) Boyd, and Martis (Linda) Boyd; brothers-in-law, Andrew (Melody) Jackson and Ronald (Twalisha) Jackson; other family members and friends. Although Roosevelt Boyd has left this earthly realm, his spirit will forever resonate in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. It's not goodbye; it's a celebration of a life well-lived.
