It is with hearts heavy yet filled with gratitude for a life so beautifully lived that we will celebrate the life and legacy of Quintin Juandez Cotton, Jr. A cherished son, brother, uncle, and friend, Quintin, affectionately known as "Q," will leave an indelible mark on all those who had the honor to know him.Quintin's journey began in Talladega, Alabama, where he was born to Semetra Brown Miller and Quintin Juandez Cotton, Sr. From a young age, he displayed a warm spirit and infectious laughter that brightened the lives of everyone around him. He embraced his Christian faith early on, joining Sycamore Missionary Baptist Church, where he actively served in the usher board and sang in the choir-his vibrant spirit a testament to his deep belief and compassion for others.As a young man, Quintin excelled in academics and athletics, particularly in football, track, and wrestling. His dedication and hard work led him to receive a wrestling scholarship to Lyon College in Batesville, Arkansas. With a heart full of service, he later enlisted in the United States Army Reserve, where he proudly served as a motor transport operator, earning the Army Service Ribbon before his honorable discharge at the time of his demise.Quintin's industrious nature shone brightly in his work within the manufacturing industry, with Nemak being his final place of employment. He embodied the virtues of hard work and kindness, values beautifully instilled in him by his beloved parents.As we reflect on the beautiful memories we hold dear-his love for sports, passion for video gaming, and deep admiration for muscle cars-we will also acknowledge the profound impact he made on our hearts and lives. Although Quintin has traded labor for eternal rest, his laughter, love, and warmth will forever echo in our souls. As time winds its course, we look ahead to a future where Quintin's spirit transcends this earthly realm, as he embarks on his journey towards eternal peace. On Wednesday, October 29, 2025, Quintin traded labor for eternal rest. Once answering his Master's call, he was reunited with those who have gone before him, resting now in eternal peace. Quintin leaves behind his beloved parents, Semetra (Derek) Miller and Quintin Cotton, Jr.; sisters, Jayla Brown, Trinity Cotton, Martina Cotton, Madison Cotton, and Chandrius (Jiamante) Moore; brothers, Donovan Cotton and Devarus (Emiyia) Miller; grandparents, Stephanie (Jimmie) Ragland, Marva Cotton, and Richard Spencer; special brothers, Lytavis Green, Draylon Green, Gavin Gaddis, Axarian Griffin, and Jaden Wilson; special aunts, Stephanie Swain and Emily Calhoun; special uncle, Calvin Jones; along with a host of cherished relatives and friends who will hold his spirit close. As we gather to celebrate his life, may we do so with joy, gratitude, and the countless memories that bring smiles through our tears.In this moment of remembrance, let us honor Quintin-a shining beacon of light whose vibrant spirit will continue to illuminate our lives long after his journey here has ended. May he rest in eternal peace, embraced by our love, surrounded by the cherished memories we all hold dear. Rest in peace, dear Quintin, knowing you are eternally loved and celebrated.
