Philica Carter

On October 21, 1967 in Pell City, Alabama, Charles V. Greene and Peggy McClain Greene welcomed to their union a beautiful sparkling baby girl named Philica Green. Philica accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and united with Christ in Me Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Lonnie Orr. She received her formal education in the St. Clair County School System where she attended Pell City High School. Upon completing her education, Philica became a CNA in the healthcare industry. She loved taking care of people. Along Philica's 56-year earthly journey she became the loving and devoted wife of Mr. Timothy Wayne Carter, who was the love of her life. She was loved by many people, especially her loving family whom she took great care of and gave all the love one could give. Spending quality time with her family was essential. Philica was a die-hard Auburn Tiger fan. She will always be remembered for carrying the most beautiful smile that would brighten the darkest room. Philica was cherished immensely by her family and all who knew her. She will truly be missed. Known by her family and friends as "Lisa", Philica loved to praise the Lord with her favorite saying "I KNOW GOD GOT ME"! Although she loved speaking her mind and would tell you whatever she thought, Philica had a heart of gold and a humble spirit that will never be forgotten. On Friday evening, October 11, 2024, Mrs. Philica Green Carter, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt transitioned peacefully from this earthly walk of life to her new eternal resting place when she answered the call of her Master saying, "Well Done My Good and Faithful Servant" while in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. Welcoming her home with outstretched arms was her father, Charles V. Greene and grandparents Eleanor Thomas and Charlie Greene. As Philica transcend beyond this earthly realm, she left a legacy of love and memories that will forever be cherished and remembered by her husband of over 11 years, Timothy Wayne Carter; daughters, Ellie (Asriel) Israel and Sasha (Lavarius) Swain; loving mother, Peggy Greene; sister, Kizzy Green; brother, Joel Green; grandmother, Johnnie Mae Green, grandchildren, Sapphire Israel, Abigail Israel, Isaiah Israel, Raphael Israel, Amari Swain, Keiston Swain, Jr., Heavenly Swain, and Hayven Green; great-niece, Kali Lipscomb; Godson, H.D. Fomby, Jr.; two nephews, Jaylen Lipscomb and Zamontae Millender; two nieces, Kourtney Green and Jaden Patton; and a host of aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
