Mason Marbury

Born on December 19, 1985, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Mason was the cherished son of Phyllis Marbury and the late Phillip Keith. As a youth, Mason attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He received his formal education in the Talladega County School System and was a graduate of Childersburg High School. Mason was a remarkable individual who touched the lives of many. Throughout his life, he remained deeply rooted in his community, taking immense pride in his work as an entrepreneur in car detailing and construction. His dedication and skills were highly regarded, and he took great joy in helping others enhance the appearance of their vehicles. His commitment to excellence and his unwavering work ethic were an inspiration to all those who knew him. A true sports enthusiast, Mason had a passion for football and relished in the thrill of cheering on the Alabama Roll Tide. Whether it was in the stands or enjoying the game from the comfort of his home, he would always be one of the biggest fans, radiating positivity and excitement. Beyond his love for sports, he treasured the simple joys of life. Exploring the great outdoors, capturing beautiful moments through his photography, and savoring delicious meals were among his favorite pastimes. Family was at the center of Mason's heart. Spending time with his beloved children and close-knit family brought him profound happiness. His love and support for them knew no bounds, and his memory will forever be etched in their hearts. Mason's kind spirit and warm demeanor made him a cherished friend to many. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offering his assistance without hesitation. His generosity and genuine care for others were evident, and he had a unique ability to brighten any room with his infectious smile and laughter. Mason Marbury, a beloved member of the Childersburg community, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2023, at the age of 37, reuniting with his father, Phillip Keith and brother, Tommy Marbury. In this time of profound loss, we join together to celebrate the wonderful life of Mason Marbury. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all those who were fortunate enough to know him. Mason is survived by his loving mother, Phyllis Marbury; his longtime companion, Shunteika Truss; four sons, Caden Marbury, Mason Marbury, Jr., Zy'Mir Marbury, and Ta'Kayden Truss; two daughters, Asia Cook Marbury and Serenity Truss; two brothers, Quentin Marbury and Shelby McElrath; two sisters, Arista (Quan) Riggins Threatt and Ashley McElrath; along with a wide circle of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. As we say our final goodbyes to Mason, let us remember the light he brought to our lives and celebrate the legacy of love, generosity, and joy he leaves behind. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
