Mark A Elston

Born on October 22, 1970, in Anniston, Alabama, Mark Anthony "Ant" Elston was a cherished son of Ruby Elston McCrary and a beloved member of his community. Faith played a central role in Mark's life. He united with Pine Grove Worship Center, where he faithfully served as a doorkeeper and usher, and took great joy in being part of the kitchen committee as a master griller. His caring spirit and enthusiastic nature endeared him to all who knew him. Mark was a proud graduate of Anniston High School Class Of 1989. After completing his education, Mark joined the workforce starting with Lee Brass, General Dynamics Security at The Anniston Army Depot, and later went to WKW Automotive in Pell City in 2015 where he worked faithfully for nine years! Mark shared a loving relationship with his soulmate, Charlotte Hall whom he met on August 21, 2008 at the Elks Club in Anniston, Alabama, creating a bond filled with laughter, joy, and strong support for 16 years. It was proven that Mark was the apple of Charlotte's eyes when he started a home with her in Eastaboga on January 1, 2009 and never leaving her side until 16 years later when God call him home. He was the proud father of five extraordinary children, instilling in them the values of love, family, and togetherness. Mark led his life humbly yet vibrantly, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those around him. A true lover of music, Mark found comfort in the listening to the "Blues" that filled his days and nights, and he proudly cheered for his beloved Alabama Roll Tide and the Dallas Cowboys. On the afternoon of November 29th, Mr. Mark Anthony "Ant" Elston answered the Master's call, transitioning from his labor into eternal rest, surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his home. Mark's legacy of love and lasting memories will be carried on by his devoted companion, Charlotte Hall; his sons, Johnnie (Alexus King) Russell of Pell City, Alabama and Readdreaz (Shantrese) Hall of Eastaboga, Alabama; his daughters, Kayla Elston of Oxford, Alabama, Alia Bailey of Jacksonville, Alabama, and Shartala (Arthur) Hall of Anniston, Alabama; his beloved mother, Ruby Elston McCrary; cherished grandchildren and caregivers, Mondreaz Hall and Rayvious (Javon) Garrett; brother Delaneous (Cynthia) Elston of Ellenwood, Georgia; grandchildren, Deaundreaz Hall, Quandreaz Hall, Kamauri Hall, Raeleigh Hall, Kitan Hall, Riyah Garrett, Raneigh Hall, and Mila Russell; great-grandson, Jylan Garrett; sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Billy (Diane) Brock of Birmingham, Alabama, Yvonne Roberts of Clayton, Georgia, Mr. and Mrs. Eartha Dean (Edward) Miller of Bynum, Alabama; Mrs. Paula (Julian) Lockhart of Lithonia, Georgia, Ms. Sandra (Bobby) Hall of Anniston, Alabama, Mr. and Mrs. Keith (Pricilla) Hall of Rex, Georgia, and Mrs. Emma Jean Johnson of Anniston, Alabama; aunts, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie (Dr. David) Satcher of Jonesboro, Georgia, Mrs. Odessa Moore of Anniston, Alabama, Mr. Paul Elston of Anniston, Alabama, and Mr. Willie Campbell of Douglasville, Georgia; Mr. Ullis C.
