Lucille Allen

Born on August 13, 1935, in Wattsville, Alabama, Lucille Moss Allen was the cherished daughter of Mr. Dennis Moss and Jeanette Oden Moss. Lucille's life was a beautiful testament to faith and devotion. From a young age, she united with Rocky Zion Baptist Church and later embraced the congregation at First Baptist Church in Talladega. Her heavenly spirit shone brightly through passionate singing, diligent Bible study, and a steadfast commitment to serving others in God's vineyard. A consummate homemaker, Lucille radiated love through her culinary delights and her nurturing care. Her humble spirit was a source of comfort and strength for her family, whom she loved unconditionally. Alongside her cherished husband, Raymond, she raised ten children, imparting wisdom and love that will echo through generations. On Friday, September 12, 2025, our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Mrs. Lucille Moss Allen peacefully transitioned from the earthly realm to her heavenly home at the age of 90, while in the comfort of her home with her beloved family at her side. Lucille now rests with her beloved husband Raymond Glenn Allen, Sr., as well as her parents, Dennis and Jeanette Moss, and siblings who preceded her in life. Lucille's legacy of warmth, laughter, and unwavering love is carried forward by her three sons: Robert Gene (Katherine) Allen, Benny Alexander (Felicia) Allen, and Johnny Ray (Lois) Allen; her seven daughters: Janis Lavon M. Allen (Rodney) Scott, Carolyn Bernette Allen, Wanda Faye Allen (Henry) Shephard, Chanda Rene Allen (Aaron) Hughes, Felicia Eugena Allen, Ruth Allen (Jerome) Ball, and Monica Lynn Allen (Steve) Oden; her beloved sisters, Dennis Mae Moss and Nettie Pearl Moss McGraw (Larry) Hunt; and an abundance of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. As we navigate this time of sorrow, we invite all of Lucille's loved ones to join us in remembrance of her beautiful life, her unwavering faith, and her endless love. Let us celebrate together the joy she brought into our lives, forever etched in our hearts as we carry her legacy forward.
