Lorene Wills

Mrs. Lorene Garrett Wills was born in Talladega, Alabama on July 2, 1957 to the late Hezzie Garrett and the late Lurena Jones Garrett. She received Christ at a young age while attending St. Campbell Missionary Baptist Church in Alpine, Alabama. Mrs. Wills was educated in the Talladega County School system and was a graduate of Talladega County Training School, known today as Talladega County Central High School. After receiving her formal education, she became employed with Tyson Foods for several years before becoming owner of her personal cleaning service. Along Mrs. Wills 66 -year journey, she became the proud mother of five loving children and fourteen beautiful grandchildren whom she treasured with all her heart. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Watching television, reading, and playing word games were just a few things she relished in her spare time. Before her health began to decline, Mrs. Wills loved cooking and preparing meals for her family. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Wills received her wings on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 while in the comfort of her home surrounded by loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hezzie and Lurena Garrett, seven brothers, J.T. Garrett, William Garrett, L.C. Garrett, Avery Garrett, Fred Garrett, Calvin Garrett, and Andrew Garrett, and one sister, Annie Pearl Staples. She was cherished by many, to include: her husband, Larry Wills, Sr.; three sons, Lovvorn Lamont (Brittany) Garrett, Larry (Courteney)Wills, Jr., and Latavious (Kamiriel) Wills; two daughters, Latasha Wills and Loarisha Wills; fourteen grandchildren, Kaeli Love Garrett, Willow Wills, Larry Wills, III, Jayden Latrell Wills, Alexis Surrett, Darrick Griffin, Jr., Dredyn Griffin, Demi Griffin, Erica Massey, Eli Massey, Evann Massey, Emiyah Massey, Eden Massey, and Ericeco Massey; four brothers, Early (Pat) Garrett, Phillip Garrett, Pastor Raymond (Patricia) Garrett, and Lee Curtis (Mary) Garrett; three sisters, Phenodia Guyton, Rosetta Garrett of Springfield, OH and Erlene Garrett of Cincinnati, OH; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
