Born on September 27, 1935, to Mack Curry, Jr. and Mary Wallace Curry, Lois Curry Collins graced this world for 89 blessed years, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her From an early age, Lois embraced her faith, accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, and fostering her steadfast devotion through her participation in various congregations throughout her life, including Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church, Union Spring Missionary Baptist, Greater Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, and ultimately, New Life Gospel Church. Her faith was her refuge, guiding her through life's journey, and she found comfort in serving others. Educated in the Talladega County School system. Lois fell in love with her soulmate, Mr. Charlie Collins. Their love story, rooted in fifteen years of courtship, culminated in a beautiful union of marriage-a partnership that exemplified devotion, resilience, and companionship. As a dedicated housewife, Lois prioritized family above all, showering her nieces and nephews with boundless love, particularly her beloved nieces, Cheryl and Teresa, whom she adored dearly. Cheryl was not only the apple of her eye, but she considered her to be the best thing that ever happened to her. Known in her community as a nurturing figure, Mrs. Collins embraced her role as a caregiver, providing love and support to both children and the elderly. Her generosity and vibrant spirit were matched only by her talent for cooking and baking; her signature cakes were delights that brought joy to many. Her sense of style was as striking as her personality. A true queen of fashion, Lois loved to dress flamboyantly, radiating joy and confidence wherever she went. She will be remembered not only for her radiant smile but for the warmth she shared with family and friends alike. On Tuesday, January 7, 2025 after God had graciously blessed and given Mrs. Lois Curry Collins to us for eighty-nine earthly years, she peacefully accepted her new heavenly wings and boarded the train to glory joining her husband, Mr. Charlie Collins, parents, Mack Curry, Jr. and Mary Curry; brothers, John Wesley Curry, Robert Curry, Frank Curry, George Curry, and Mack Curry, III, sisters, Fannie Mae Terry, Mattie Pearl Whitson, and Frances Hall, and her niece, Teresa Faye Curry. Mrs. Collins 89-year life's journey has truly been a blessing to everyone she has encountered beginning with her youth. Mrs. Lois Curry Collins leaves behind a legacy of love and memories to forever be cherished by one sister, Linda Wilson; a host of nieces, nephews, and a wide circle of family and friends whose lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. Mrs. Lois Curry Collins will be deeply missed, but the love she shared and the memories she created will forever remain in our hearts.
