Lisa Jackson

Born on November 20, 1966 in Birmingham, Alabama, Lisa Jackson was the youngest daughter of Cecil Jackson and Flora Grace Rhoden, who welcomed her into the world with love and hope. Lisa's life was a melody of joy, faith, and love. From a young age, she embraced her spiritual faith while attending Mt. Canaan Baptist Church and later in life visiting various churches. She obtained her education and was a graduate in the Newburgh, New York City School System while residing in New York. Once moving back to Alabama, Lisa started her family which included two loving sons whom she loved with all her heart. An outgoing spirit, Lisa was a beacon of light and laughter, and always the life of the party. Known for her candid nature, she captivated friends and family alike, often becoming the center of attention at gatherings where she loved to entertain. Lisa embraced life with an infectious enthusiasm. Lisa was an advocate for Breast Cancer Awareness, a true fighter, and a strong believer in GOD!! She was a joy to have known and will be immensely missed. On Wednesday, February 12, 2025, Ms. Lisa Jackson peacefully transitioned from this earthly realm to her eternal resting place reuniting with her beloved parents, Cecil Jackson and Flora Grace Rhoden and brother, Rubin Jackson. Her legacy will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind including her loving and devoted children, Chris (Jamie) Jackson and Desmond "Dez" Simmons, Jr.; three adorable grandchildren, Ashley "Bri" Jackson, Brian "BJ" Jackson, and Christian Jackson; three brothers, Reginald Swain, Michael Swain, and Joseph "Trae" Jackson; one sister, Sylvia Jackson; five nieces, Regina, Tavonya, Sasha, Brittany, and Halima; three nephews, Marcus, Devin, and Yancy; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends who were all touched by her vibrant spirit. As we gather to bid farewell to Ms. Lisa Jackson, let us hold onto the memories of her laughter, her love, her sweet voice, and the light she brought into our lives. May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever guiding us with love and grace.
