Katrina Smith

Born on July 1, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York, Katrina was the cherished daughter of Donald McMillan and Ann Smith Pearson. Her journey on this earth has left an enduring mark on the lives of those who were blessed to know her. Katrina accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age at St. Mark Church of God in Christ, where she remained a member throughout her life. From her formative years, she demonstrated a deep commitment to her faith, actively participating in various youth church activities and extending her hand to those in need. She received her formal education in the Talladega County School System, where she graduated from Lincoln High School as a member of Class of 1995. After high school, she entered the work force and worked at Brentwood Daycare and several restaurants. Katrina had a passion for people and was devoted to delivering excellent customer service. Katrina consistently went above and beyond to ensure both guests and colleagues had a positive experience. Katrina's friendly, upbeat, and polite demeanor brought joy to everyone she encountered. Because of her beautiful smile and contagious personality, Katrina was so easy to love. Katrina was known for her vibrant spirit and caring heart. She devoted her life to nurturing those around her. Family was at the core of Katrina's existence. She loved her family deeply. She enjoyed bringing everyone together to create precious memories. Her love for her family and her friends was boundless, and she treasured every moment spent together. On this day, we gather to reflect upon Katrina Smith's remarkable life and bid her farewell. As she journeys to her eternal home, she will be warmly greeted by her grandparents, James Smith and Rae Smith, and her father, Donald McMillan. Katrina's legacy of love and her sweet spirit will live on and forever be cherished and remembered by her children, Bre'Tyrra (Dameon) Smith, Zabian Smith, and Earron Smith; her mother, Ann Smith Pearson; her brothers, Demetrius (Julisa) Pearson, and Clifton Pearson; her sister, Rebecca Dothard; her uncles, Bobby Smith, and Harvey Smith; aunt, Denise Howard; along with a host of cousins, other relatives, and close friends. As we gather to hold her memory in our hearts, let us remember Katrina not only for the love she shared but for the enduring mark she left upon each of us. She will forever remain a beacon of love, resilience, and joy in the lives she touched.
