Kathleen Jones

On February 13, 1951 in a little town called Standing Rock in the city of Five Points, Alabama located in Chambers County, Kathleen Keith was one of two twins born to the union of the late Cezar Keith and the late Ruby Beasley Keith. As a youth, Kathleen accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior and united with Tinney Street Church of Christ. Later in life as she joined and began worshipping with Lily Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She received her education in the Talladega City School System and was a graduate of Westside High School Class of 1969. Along Kathleen's earthly journey, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Mr. Major Jones, Jr. and to this union two sons were born, Kenneth and Anthony. Together they raised their children and shared several years of a blessed marriage in Chicago, Illinois. Once returning to Alabama, Kathleen became employed with Crown Textile Mills for years until they closed at which time she went to work for Talladega Health and Rehab Center until she decided it was time to enjoy the retired life. Kathleen was well-known for taking good care of her patients while being employed with Talladega Health and Rehab for many years. She enjoyed listening to music, watching football, and sitting on her front porch chilling with Sonny, Bud, and Byron. Kathleen's 71-year life journey was truly a blessing to everyone she loved including family, friends, and co-workers. On Friday evening, September 16, 2022, Kathleen transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home while in the comfort of Princeton Hospital and staff members surrounded by her loved ones. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Cezar Keith and Ruby Mae Beasley Keith, four aunts, Minnie Seroy, Bessie Chatman, Mildred Keith and Mae Etta Keith, eight uncles Dean Beasley, Willie Beasley, William Beasley, George Beasley, Johnnie Beasley, Willie Johnson, M.C. Keith and Wren Keith, a great-niece, Marika Hardie, a great-nephew, Derrion Hardie, grandparents, Zedekiah and Inez Johnson Keith. Kathleen's legacy of love and precious memories will forever be remembered and cherished by her two sons, Kenneth Jones of Tampa, Florida and Anthony (Rochelle) Jones of Talladega; a loving and devoted twin sister, Catherine Keith; three loving grandchildren, Eboni Jones, Ashia Jones, and Jamal (Trinity) Adair; great-grandchildren, Aleila, MaLeiha, Na'Vae, Maury, and Journey; nieces, Sharon (Starsky) Simmons and Tiffany Keith; nephews, Dedrick (Genene) Keith and Michael Keith; great-nieces and nephews, Shardae, TaKiyah, Jaleah, Candace, Cierra, Destiny, Michael, DeAndre, and Tyesha; a devoted companion, Troskey (Speedy) Twymon; and a host great-great nieces, great-great nephews, cousins, other relatives, friends and co-workers.
