Jessie Armbrester

Born on July 16, 1949, in Talladega, Alabama, Jessie Armbrester was the loving daughter of L.V. and Annie Mae Garrett Curry. Jessie found her spiritual home at Miracle Prayer House, where she faithfully served for over 45 years as an usher, minister, and member of the mother board. She wholeheartedly embraced her church community, spreading love and compassion to all who crossed her path. Jessie's strong faith and commitment to her church family will forever be remembered. She received her formal education in the Talladega County School system where she attended Talladega County Training School. Jessie worked many years as a supervisor in the poultry industry until retiring to enjoy the fruit of her labor. From a young age, Jessie exuded an unyielding love for her family and a radiant smile that could brighten even the darkest of days. Her passion for cooking and her adventurous spirit led her to many delightful travels throughout her lifetime. A true testament to everlasting love, Jessie met the love of her life, Roy Armbrester, as a teenager, and their connection was undeniable. United in holy matrimony on October 12, 1967, Jessie and Roy built a life full of joy, love, and dedication. Together, they were blessed with six children, each one a shining example of their unwavering commitment to family. The Lord came and touched Jessie Vivian Armbrester, a cherished wife, mother, and friend to all who knew her saying "Well done my good and faithful servant" on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the age of 74, while in the embrace of her loving family. Once accepting the call of her Master, Jessie Vivian was welcomed with open arms by her parents, L.V. and Annie Curry, and her siblings, Maggie Lee Monterro , Bennie Ray Curry, John Curry, Lester V. Curry, and Ernie V. Curry. While our hearts ache with the loss of Jessie's earthly presence, we find comfort in the knowledge that she is now reunited with her parents and siblings, who preceded her in death. Left to cherish her memory and carry on her legacy are her devoted husband of 56 years, Roy Armbrester; two loving daughters, Vivian (Derrick) Chapman and Aretha (Harold) Douglas; four sons, Roger (Rachel) Armbrester, Ronald (Denise) Armbrester, Randy Armbrester, and Michael (Angel) Armbrester; her dear granddaughter, Randria B. Armbrester, whom she raised as her own; her sister, Fannie Mae Curry, her brother-in-law, Walter (Della) Armbrester ; sisters-in-law, Peggy Armbrester, Rosemary Armbrester, and Daisy Armbrester; very special friend near and dear to her heart, Co-pastor Dorothy Keith; and a host of loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends, all of whom were touched by her kindness and warm spirit. Jessie Armbrester's memory will forever remain in our hearts, and her legacy will continue to inspire us to live our lives with kindness, compassion, and unwavering faith. May her soul find eternal peace.
