Janelle Swain

Mrs. Janelle White Swain was born on October 15, 1957 in Talladega, Alabama to the union of Fletcher White and Jeanette Carter White. From a tender age, Janelle embraced her faith, accepting Christ as her personal Savior and becoming a member of Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church. Her spiritual journey continued as she found a home in worship at Destiny Mission, where she shared her unwavering love for God and community. Janelle's education flourished in the Talladega City School System, culminating in her graduation from Talladega High School. Her professional life in the manufacturing industry included fulfilling roles as a security guard at Honda and NSE Manufacturing, where she found great satisfaction in her work. Janelle was known for her vibrant spirit, a loving and kind soul who illuminated the lives of many. Her passion for fashion was evident in her stylish ensembles, complete with shoes that dazzled, and her culinary skills brought joy to her family gatherings. A devoted wife, mother, and sister, Janelle's heart overflowed with unconditional love for her family, and she cherished every moment spent in their company. On Saturday morning, December 20, 2025, Mrs. Janelle White Swain traded this earthly walk of life for eternal rest while in the comfort of her home surrounded by her cherished family. She now joins her beloved parents, Fletcher and Jeanette White and brother, Jerry White in eternal rest, embraced by those who have gone before her. Janelle leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Kindness Swain; her beloved daughter, Falicia Strown; her treasured sister, Minnie White (Rev. David Marshall); sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Swain, Rosie Lee Garrett, Minnie Ree Garrett (Demos Garrett), Dorthy Keith, and Jannie Power; grandchildren, Natoya White, Quingelica Strown, Charlie Strown, and Sharliyah Strown; twelve great-grandchildren; special nieces and nephews, Tasha White, Kaverick White, Torri Rivers, and Katoya Rivers; and a multitude of twenty-five other nieces and nephews, along with other relatives and friends who will forever hold her memory in their hearts. Though Janelle's physical presence will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to dance among us, her stylish flair echoing in our hearts, and her love illuminating our lives. We invite all who knew and loved her to join us in honoring her remarkable life and the joy she brought to the world.
